Forever Accompanying You

A developmentally delayed child that contributes to her family in her own way, translated…

My daughter in developmentally delayed, and a companion for the families, she’d accompanied the three generations.  The years changed, she will always be, a white sheet of paper, with the words of gratitude out of her lips, smiling.

Before the birth of my daughter, she’d been blessed upon by my grandmother.  My grandmother became a widow at twenty-eight, lonely her whole life, toward this baby great granddaughter, she’d felt that she was a grace from God, that she needed to love her very much.

After my daughter was born, we saw that she was limp in her limbs, with diminishing capacity, after a long road of treatment from the physicians, nothing worked.  During that age there’s no early intervention programs, and I had to work, can’t stay home to look after her, so I can only, move in with my own grandmother, and she’d, welcomed us with her arms wide open.

“Dear, come, a hug!”, grandma opened up her arms, my daughter ran toward her, like she was a pet that my grandmother kept, she’d slept with my grandmother too at night.  My daughter accompanied my grandmother for a whole of twelve years.

After grandmother passed, I’d placed her in an institution, on Monday I’d sent her into boarding, on Saturday, I’d taken her home.  This was a difficult period for her, as she came home happy on Saturdays, but when Monday came around, she’d started crying hard, throwing her tantrums, rolled on the ground, refused to get taken away, she was only fourteen then.

My mother moved in with me at her old age, I’d taken my daughter home so my mother could have company, during the daytime, my daughter went to daycare, and arrives home at four in the afternoon, and my mother looked after her with great care, they’d loved and cherished one another so, until my mother too had, passed away, my daughter had accompanied my mother for a whole of ten years.

After I retired, I’d taken her to a ton of group outings, to help socialize her into life of the community, my life, is her life too.  Companionship is the BEST gift of life, companionship doesn’t cost anything to hire someone from the outside, with the families there, keeping each other warm.  Although my daughter is not intelligent, but putting her in the right place, she’s still, a contributor.

And now, she’s, in her fifties, and as I got older, I’d found how wonderful she truly is, she’d had a ton of love from home, very spirited every day, it’s like the Holy Bible said, “everything works together, everyone benefitted.”

And so, this, is the “use” of this developmentally delayed child to the family, she’s great companionship for the elders, and now, her mother realized this finally, and now, the mother and daughter will live together, until the end.

The Son-in-Law Helped Trafficked the Illegal Substances Got Sentenced Severely, While the Father-in-Law Escaped Overseas

We have a PATSY, a DUMMY, who got CAUGHT, not that he’d not done, anything wrong either, but the “mastermind” had, escaped out of country!  Off of the Front Page Sections, translated…

The man, Liao in Taoyuan owns a butcher shop, because he helped his father-in-law who’s in Cambodia traffic heroin, he was taken into police custody, the courts sentenced him to ten years for transporting a level one drug; Liao filed for his release, claimed that his family owns the MAXXIS tire, that his uncle works in the Department of Health & Sanitations, that if he fled, it would greatly impact the family’s reputation, but the courts didn’t believe him.

Liao claimed that he is the only son of the family, because he’d believed his father-in-law and his brother-in-law, that was why he was helping them traffic the heroin, he’d been incarcerated for over five months to date, he has elderly parents, and young children to take care of, and his family business was the famous Maxxis Tires, his uncle is a worker of the Department of Health and Sanitations, that if he’d fled, it would damage the family even more, that he would not ditch his bail and run off.

Liao stated, that after he was caught, he gave the truth to the police, didn’t collaborate his statements with anyone, not at risk of destroying evidence either, plus he’d owned and operated a butcher shop from before, he’d hoped to return back to the butcher stand to work, and he had health conditions, that needed regular check ups, that he’d had to be released from being in custody to get himself the treatments he’d needed.

The courts considered, that Liao was charged with trafficking a level one illegal substance, that there’s a need to have him taken into custody after interrogation, and Liao’s father-in-law, older brother-in-law are currently still in Cambodia, which showed, that he has the assets, and the methods to escape away, that there’s, a huge flight risk, that custody would be, mandatory.

The courts asked the Taoyuan Penitentiary about Liao’s physical condition, and was notified that he’d been treated for the conditions at the clinics of the prison system, that he could get the healthcare he’d needed there, there’s NO need for him to check into an external hospital system for him to make a full recovery.

And so, this, is how STUPID you were, trafficking the drugs with your father-in-law, and now your father-in-law’s left you hanging dry, and you’re still the one to blame, for being STUPID, and a willing accomplice in this bad unlawful act you got caught in.

Reality, with a Rope, TIED, Around the NECK of Dreams…

Call this, a HANGMAN’s, T-A-L-E then???

Reality, with a rope, TIED, around the NECK of dreams, and, one tug, just a little bit, harder than you’re, supposed to, dreams would have the DISLOCATED CERVICAL vertebrates, and, become, PARALYZED, from the NECK down!

what that, looked, like…photo from online

Reality, with a rope, TIED, around the NECK of dreams, as it should, ‘cuz, reality grips dreams too tightly, that dreams can’t even, breathe, and they just, started, CHOKING, coughing, and struggling, NOT realizing, that the harder they’d, attempted to break free, the tighter the noose’s gonna, be.

Reality, with a rope, TIED, around the NECK of dreams, you do know, where this SHIT’s gonna go, right?  It’s not, gonna end well one BIT, for dreams’ sakes that’s for sure.  Reality, with a rope, TIED, around the NECK of dreams, and, until dreams can, give in (in that unwilling compromise!), to reality, it will, keep on, struggling, kicking the legs, as they slowly, D-I-E (like in those, old story, town hangings???).

Reality, with a rope, TIED, around the NECK of dreams, and, dreams, they don’t have any other options, but to, dislocate, the HYOID bone, and CHOKE to death, or, having the neck, SNAPPED, and then, D-I-E, instantly.  Either way, it’s, not good, for the dreams that’s for sure!

The Security Guard was Fired, Pulled an Innocent Boy to Him, and Slapped Him

Scapegoating, and now, you will, be charged with, ASSAULT on this young child too!  Off of the Front Page Sections, translated…

In front of the arena of Taishan in Hsinbei City two nights ago, there was a middle aged man who’d pulled an unknown child and started abusing him physically, the bystanders called the police, the police arrested Wu, Wu claimed that he was upset from getting fired from work, he’d found an unknown child and took it out on him, the Hsinbei District Attorney’s Office believed that Wu was more than likely to physical assault someone again, filed for him to remain in police custody with the courts, the courts signed off on it.

The station manager of the Taishan station of Linkou Police Department, Chang pointed out, that an eight-year-old boy went to exercise at the Taishan Gymnasium on his own, and the forty-year-old Wu, dressed in a security guard’s uniform pulled his arms, dragged him out of the gymnasium, the child was thrilled he’d started crying aloud, “help me!”

A woman saw, and attempted to grab a hold of the boy, and as she was dragged along, she’d called out to all who could hear, “everybody, help, he’s trying to grab this child!”, at this time, Wu got furious, raised his arms, slapped the child across the face, the boy flew out from where he was, and, slammed down onto the ground.

At this time, another pedestrian hollered out, “I’d captured it all on tape”, the rest of the bystanders also helped called the police, the officers arrived shortly, and subdued Wu with the help from the bystanders.

Based off of understanding, during the time, the child’s parents were both at work, he was taken back home by his grandmother, in the interrogations, Wu said he didn’t know who the boy was, that because he just got fired from his job as a security guard, he was in a foul mood, he’d randomly selected the boy to take his anger out, and the case is being prosecuted as obstruction of freedom and assault.

The Hsinbei District Court believed, that Wu, because he was having a bad day from work, in a foul mood, and in a short period of time, already had the assault charges piled on him, and the assault from two days ago, was on a random child, that in considering how his life isn’t going to change for the time being, there’s a high chance of him randomly assaulting someone, to protect the general public, there’s the need for him to be taken into police custody.

And so, this LOSER found some random kid, and took his anger out on that child, because he got fired from his work, which is probably due to HIS own problems, and that still just showed, how there are, too many, immature adults, who just, randomly selected victims, to beat the shit out of, and this one, he got his last strike, and he’s going to, stay in JAIL for awhile!

As Biden Wins the Election…

As Biden won the election, the words on the internet is, that Taiwan is, SCREWED!  Like I don’t already know that?  This BULLSHITTING country was LONG SCREWED, way before the votes had been totaled up in America, just look at the president, she’s using MONEY (our hard-earned dollars!) to pay for those outdated, bullshitting fighter planes, weapons that the U.S. is disposing of, and, the country is still, trying to, SUCK up to the U.S., and the president has absolutely NO clue, that the former president of the U.S., Trump was, only using this country of ours (oh wait, this ain’t MY country: my B-A-D here!!!), as a god damn, !@$%ING, sacrificeable, PAWN…

And now, the Democrats won’t the American presidential election, and they’re, tilting toward China (who isn’t, huh?  The 13 billion plus population that ought to be, reason enough, right???), and, the president here, is coming up with a plan, to SUCK UP to the U.S., which still proves what I’d been saying ALL along: Taiwan is, U.S.’s BITCH, while, U.S. is China’s BITCH (b/c, just think of the 13 billion population, such a large market!!!), and so, we’re, all, SCREWED here, aren’t we?

The Bad Cop Invested in the Gambling Arcades, and Committed Arson on the Car, was Fired from the Police Department

An officer of the LAW, who knew it was wrong what he was doing, and still, did it, and he only received, suspension, believe it or don’t!  Off of the Front Page Sections, translated….

There was an arson of a car in the Mado Substation jurisdiction in August, and the whole case, as the department investigated, was by Hu the officer who worked at the precinct, having debt disputes in the gambling arcades, and felt displeased that the worker of the arcade, Sun owed him money and not paid, he’d set Sun’s car on fire, he was, malicious; the Tainan D.A.’s Office called Hu to the offices, after interrogating the officer, Hu had the bail of $100,000N.T. for public endangerment and gambling charges.

The head of the Tainan City Police Department was furious upon hearing the news, believed that Hu had destroyed the reputations of the police office, yesterday, he’d fired Hu from his job and given him two major reprimands.

The Mado Police was investigating a car getting burned down on August 20th of this year, the car was almost completely, totaled, the owner, Sun wondered how the car caught fire?  As the fire department examined it closely, they’d found an urn underneath the car as the origin of the fire, after reviewing over the street surveillances, they suspected that there’s a high chance that this was, an arson.

The police went by the description of the victim who’s car was burned up, and zoomed in on the forty-four year-old officer, Hu who had debt problems with the owner of the car, Sun, and reported to the district attorney’s office to start up a specialist task squad, to secretly investigate Hu’s money flow, his communication, and his whereabouts too.

The police and the district attorney’s office investigated, that Hu worked in the police department for over two decades, mostly, on desk or internal duties, three years ago he was transferred to the city, but not long thereafter, he transferred back to Mado, was suspected of investing into the arcades, as the fund supporter of the places, that Hu was displeased at how the worker, Sun owed over hundreds of thousands of dollars in debts and not collected, in the middle of the nights, he’d committed arson on Sun’s car; as an officer of the law, when he’d gone to commit arson, he was wearing a cap, a mask on purpose, and dodged the surveillance cameras by placing an ignited pot of fire underneath the sedan, and half an hour later came the explosion, the burning down of the car.

Hu denied the allegations, claimed that he had an alibi, the police reviewed over the surveillance footages, although there was not a perfect view of the suspect, but the victim pointed out, how Hu was the owner of the gambling arcade, and the district attorneys believed that there’s enough evidence for a search warrant.

Based off of understanding, Hu is good looking, but as he worked in the police department, he’d gone on a lot of calls, made many connections with the locals, and this time the problem of his discipline came, some say that they’re, “not surprised one bit”.   Jeng stressed, that if the officer was found to have broken the laws, he will NOT cover for his subordinates, and will chase to the bottom of what had actually, happened, and do what’s, right.

So, this, is an officer who KNEW what he was doing was wrong, and still did it, and because he couldn’t get the debts owed to him by a player of the arcade, he’d, set his car on fire, and he got caught on tape, and, being fired from his work at the police station would be, the LEAST of his, worries, because he is looking at getting charged, and maybe, jail time too!

She Had Pulled the Plug on Father, & Readied Herself to Serve the Time in Prison Back Then

The choice, to decide how we will, leave this world, it’s, an important one, signing the DNR, lessons that life have to, offer, off of the Front Page Sections, translated…

“The Right of the Patients’ Selves” was signed last January, and Taiwan marches, one step toward “dying easily”.  The honorary professor of the Changgong University Medical School, Chiao recalled her own caretaking experiences from forty-two years ago, how she had, prepared herself for being charged with “murder”, pulled the plug on her own father.  And now, she’s a terminal cancer patient herself, and set up her own DNR, and planned to “leave the world naturally”.

Her father was a retired army general, gone to war, she clearly remembered her father’s beliefs about life, not going against what’s natural, not forcing life along.

instead of this…

Chiao told, that at age seventy-three, her father started having memory issues, but they couldn’t find a reason, they’d not known it was dementia, her father and older brother lived in Taoyuan, one day her father disaprpeared, and seven days later, the police called, told the families that her father had, wandered to Yilan, which was, over hundreds of kilometers away, covered in his own urine and fecal matter, and he couldn’t tell them how he got there, what he had for food, or where he’d stayed.

At eighty-six, her father had a cold, which caused pneumonia, and sepsis too, he was hospitalized, Chiao told, that there were tubes connected to her father’s body, with the tracheal tubes as well, the doctor was about to place her father on life support, she’d discussed the matter with her older siblings, and, decided to honor the way their father lived, and signed the DNR.

Chiao graduated from the nursing department of N.T.U., back when she was only thirty, she’d stated the wish for all of her family members, the doctor replied back coldly, “How can you all be such unfitting children, how can you let your father die?”, seeing how the doctor wouldn’t do it, the families asked Chiao to pull the plugs.  For this, she’d read at the medical libraries of N.T.U. for an entire week on the ethics of medical treatment, and proved that her and her families had, made the right decisions.  She said, her father’s heart, liver, lungs, and kidneys had all failed, if he were still conscious, he would certainly, NOT allowed so many tubes to get him plugged in, besides, his weight reduced to twenty-seven kilograms, nothing but skins and bones left, unless there’s a way to transplant all the vital organs in his body, there’s no way to save him, there’s no reason to, prolong his, sufferings.

wouldn’t you rather have…

rather than prolonging the sufferings of someone you love and cared about? Photo from online

“The medical staff members started whispering, said that I was, murdering my own father.”  Chiao took her clothes, a bible, readied herself for prison after she’d pulled her own father’s, plugs.  Before she’d taken her father off life support, the treating physician demanded that she wrote on her father’s medical records, “The daughter, Ko-Shih Chiao pulled the tracheal tubes herself”, and noted the year, the month, the day, the hour, and the second when it was done.

“After the tubes were pulled, my father took a deep inhale, I was so scared, called in all my family”, the family stayed by the father’s side, until he passed away in peace.  Chiao believed she’d made the right decisions, but still struggled with the decisions long.  As she worked as the assistant head nurse at VMH in Taipei, she’d had eight terminally ill patients who were tried by their conditions in her two years of working there, and they’d, taken their own lives, it’d pained her even more.

She was diagnosed with breast cancer at age fifty-eight, and it’d relapsed, she was on the target drugs.  As the legislation of “Patient right” came last year, she’d set up her medical will, “if I can’t be cured, and there’s a lot of pains that come, then, I shall, die naturally, no need to prolong my own, suffering.”, awhile ago she broke her leg, the doctor said if she get it surgically corrected, it will be healed in just one month, otherwise, she’s going to wait for three, four months for it to heal up on its own; she’d assessed, that the drugs she was taking for cancer was causing her white blood cell count to drop, that it wasn’t fit for her to go under the knife, and decided to let time take its course, and if it doesn’t heal properly, it’s the way it’s intended to be.

And so, because of her work, she’d seen a ton of people at the terminal stages of life, and realized how important it is, for the ailing to make ones’ own choices to whether or not to get resuscitated, and, she’d, honored her own father’s wish, despite HOW the outside world perceived her, and she’s, made the most important medical decision of her own life herself too.

3:30 in the Morning

The hard work, the dedications, of these government workers, and it didn’t matter the hour of day, they’re, hard at work just the same!  Translated…

There’s this new shop opened up in Kaohsiung recently, I’d stayed there for a few days with the manager of my shop.  One day at around 3:30 in the morn, I was awakened by a call from the local substation, turned out, that the scooter we’d parked by the side of the road was hit by a car.  What happened was that a scooter hit another scooter, then, rammed toward the scooter we had that’s parked by the side of the road.  Although it didn’t sound serious, but because the scooters weren’t our own, we’d still, gone out in the middle of the nights to check.

As we arrived, the officers were still there, we were taken back to the substation by the officers to get our statements, and, being called to the police station in the middle of the nights, that was, a first for sure.  And, at 3:30 in the morning, the station was, already, busy, and, I’m sure, that referring to the station as such, the officers won’t even let out a single chuckle, but, during the forty-minutes I’d stayed there, there were, the locals who’d come in, and there were, seven officers on duty in the substation, and every one of them seemed to have, at least, three heads, six arms, sorting through the various matters that came at them.

We were assigned to an officer who looked like he came out of the soaps, with the dark brows, the big round eyes, with a loud voice, with that scent of justice about him, and, with his looks, even if he were in show business, he would play the role of the district attorney or an officer.  At the moment he was taking our statements, something else seemed to be bothering him, the drunk man came and pulled at him, “Sir, did you take my identification card, was it you, was it you.”  at the time this was happening, he was calling his superior to report something, at the same time, he was also, answering the call of a coworker, who’d ushered him to post out the photos of the accident, etc., etc., etc., and, before him, there was the manager of my bookstore, and me, who sat before him, in our, pajamas.

As he became, frustrated, handling everything that was hitting him hard, he’d, apologized to us, “I’m sorry for the wait, there’s just, too much going on, in these late hours of the nights.”, I’d replied, “it’s no big deal for us, that’s life, the jobs we chose, we do it, best as we can.”  The officer kept his head buried to his desk, answering, there was, that genuineness, that belief of he was doing what was just and right in his voice.

Recalling how when I was younger and looked for a job, I’d always become, confused of what work entailed, other than a paycheck, turning over, over, over, and over again endlessly, what’s the meaning of all of this?  With the coming of age, the confusions were, reduced, and yet, the younger generations still inquired from time to time, “What’s the purpose of doing this?”  are we, wasting our time?

If you have something in your mind that’s deemed meaningful for you to do, then, working hard at it, it would, be the definition of what a good job entailed, like how this officer who’s, hard at work, at 3:30 in the morning, committed to his job.

And so, this showed about work ethics, and in these jobs, you are on call 24/7, and, you still stay hard at work, no matter what hours of the day or night it is, and this takes a ton of dedication for one’s own job.

The Department of Education Shall NOT Give Up on Any Child

The government’s not well-thought-out ideals of reforms in education here, off of the Front Page Sections, by a university professor, translated…

When I was in school, elementary years and middle schools are mandatory education, and this sort of making education available should be commended, because even for the kids from the poverty stricken backgrounds, they get the chance to get educated.  But what we can’t deny is, a lot of the children didn’t get educated enough.  Some had entered into the universities, and still can’t write out all twenty-six of the English alphabets.  Some had entered into high school, and still can’t do the addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division of fractions.  And there are those in high school who can’t understand the most basics of English words such as: not, at, in, with, there, who, when, etc., etc., etc.

For students who are on this level, staying in school getting an education, it’s, a waste of time.  For the country, it’s, a waste of money.  The kids don’t have the basic levels of education, and they’d, lost their competitive edge on the most fundamental levels, and it’s more than likely, that they will be on government assistance in the futures.  This is painful for the individuals, but even more a heavy burden for our country.

We need to track back to the systems of education in the elementary school years.  There’s no holding a child back in the elementary years, as the child falls behind in the first grade, and after that, the kid just sits and can’t understand what the instructors saying in the class, but all the way, they still, get higher in the grade years, and there’s nothing that teachers can do about this.

Don’t know when it was, that this country did away with holding the children back a grade, and, this is out of kindness, with the goal of helping the children keep their senses of dignity, and hoped, that children can somehow, be interested in learning.  A motto for the education reforms is “Happy & learning” it’s from the same beliefs.  But, this sort of not watching the gates, it’s actually, harming the students, because as they found, that they can’t understand anything, they can’t possibly have an interest in learning, and would lose faith, self-confidence over their own futures, and start giving up on themselves.  Some of the kids dropped out of middle school, all because they can’t make the grades.  And the government’s way, is giving up on the students.

We need to know, that only a tiny portion of kids hated studying.  I have the experiences myself, that so long as the instructors are compassionate, and patient, then, the child CAN, learn.

Maybe, we won’t go back to holding students back a grade, but we can’t, give up on the students either.  The first thing that needed to get tackled is, to set up a fundamental curriculum for the classes in the elementary school levels.  Meaning, that as the children is in the first grade, they should be mastering the skillset during that grade level, the government should set it up in black and white, same for all other courses too.  With this basics of curricula, all the teachers across the country should be more in tune with whether or not the students are matching up to the requirements of the governments.  Of course, children are smart in different ways, some kids may be slower to learn, and the elementary years definitely need to device separate education plans for the children.  Setting up of individualized education plans is a written rule in the legislation regarding education, but the sad part is, now, it’s no longer, used.

We don’t need to go back to the ways of keeping a child back a grade, but we need to set up the different materials to teach the students with varied learning styles.  The Department of Education should ensure that every normal child can learn the fundamentals well.   I hope that everybody can understand, that I’m NOT asking the government to guarantee that every child makes the good grades, I just believe, that the government should NOT give up on any child.

And so, this, is under the current system of education reform, because this country tries to follow the methods that hard worked for the western countries, without realizing, that hey, this is a country on its own, and what works elsewhere, may NOT work here, and so, the system of education is still, not fully developed, and that’s why the students are, not learning what they needed to succeed in their lives in the futures.
