With National Security as a Call of the Information Leaks, There Would Only be Many More of the Elementary, Mistakes Made

It’s only, that tiny “blip” that’s caused a ton of high schoolers’ data getting lost, kinda like how it was only a “touch” of the buttons by the employee of Taipower that’s, caused, that huge, blackout, and next time, who knows, it might be, a hacker, who gets her/his hands, on all our, personal data, and we the people can do nothing, because we all became, pigs to the slaughter!  The government really needs to tighten up on information security here, but, does it?  HECK no, it’d rather, spend all our money, on shits like, the five-times vouchers, the “freebie” vouchers for the drawings, and there’s nothing WE the people can do ‘bout it!!!  Off of the Front Page Sections, translate…

The government here viewed information security as matter of national security, and more than 20,000 uploaded learning process case files went missing, the experts believed, that the central government was lacking in its means of supervising the systems well, not listed the “loss of data” into the costs of the program set up, the information security budget of the Legislative Department hadn’t increased for many years, that “national security” is, nothing more than, a motto only, and similar things will keep on recurring.

The anonymous experts in information security stated, “the department of education’s failure to backup this sensitive, and vital data, had it been a well-known electronic company that’s done this, losing the clients’ information, and asked the clients to resubmit the data, the company would’ve already gotten, bankrupt.”, he’d spoken straight, that the attitude of uncaring enough toward the matter of information security, it’s a microcosm of this government, and “things like this will only keep on, recurring.”

The security expert observed, that the banking industries with huge amounts of personal data, is kept on a tight watch by the board of committee members of the industry, the telecommunications, the cable companies, under the NCC, once there’s a leak of personal data, the loss of data, a huge fine will be enforced, “not just talking about the fines, but really the fines will get, enforced!”

The government’s viewing data security as national security, adding the security updates to the various department, but the department responsible for the whole of the information security of the country, for these past three years, the budgets allotted stayed at $3.31 million N.T.s.  There’s the higher risks of data security by the days, to the point of having too much information into the systems, and the budgets of the department, and the tasks the department had been required to handle, doesn’t, even out.

Mr. Lee, who’s familiar with the innerworkings of the information technology system used by the government believed, that the budgets in the sales department had been cut each and every year, causing the budget to focus on the information communications only, and not the backup files, the “low end” mistakes of losing the data of the students’ learning process profiles, will be other departments’ example to take from too.

A government worker told the press reporter of this paper, that after buying in more of the communication software, the information accumulated, but the public department’s equipment only has a five to ten year usage rate, and before that date expires, the systems of operations, the equipment can’t be switched out, “so what happens when there’s not enough storage space?  We can only, ask for the funds from the specialty projects, but this is not a long-term solution to this problem.”, the worker said with a worrisome tone of voice, that this time, it was only the learning process profiles that got lost in the systems, and who can guarantee, that what’s lost the next time it happens, won’t be the people’s, personal, information?

And so, this is still, only, a “tiny blip”, in the, bigger system that’s, the problems here.  The systems aren’t up-to-date, and, naturally, when something gets used for a long, long time, it fries, and, this time, it was only, the high schoolers’ learning process profiles that “got lost” in the server, and, who knows, the next time, it may be that file of all of our, health insurance cards, our identification numbers that got, “eaten” by the, system, and what’s worse, is that hackers can hack into the systems, and, get their hands on all of that, and, voila, the information, leaked!!!

And, there’s NOTHING any of us can do about it, because the government still doesn’t, budget enough of our taxes, on the matter of, information technology safety here…

The Holes in the Security Nets of Society: the Case Had Been Discharged Many Times Before, and Passed the Psych Evaluations of the Professional Psychiatrists

How safe, are we, if the psych ward can’t, even, correctly identify the dangerous who might harm others, huh???  Off of the Front Page Sections, translated…

The social security nets is the vital policies of the president, Tsai, yet, there were the repeated cases of attacks on locals in Pingdong by someone with schizophrenia, the female super convenience store clerk had been severely wounded, and the president’s policies are questioned.  The head of the county, Pan stated, that this is a serious problem, a lesson learned, that he will, evaluate the laws more closely.  The psychiatrists suggested the families to get their loved ones into treatment, to not go soft of these individuals with these conditions.

Based off of understanding, Yang, the assailant from eleven years, had similar records, started in 2017, he was treated, and categorized as “difficult to cure”, every time he was admitted to the psych wards, he’d started crying that he wanted to be, released.  Pan said, Yang had been in and out of the hospitals multiple times, and had been evaluated closely each and every time, other than the related rules, all the assessment made for his discharge went through the professional evaluation of the psychiatrists.  But, the patient had injured others multiple times, Pan stressed that he’d already, requested that the hospital enforce a stricter rule of evaluation, and the man will be admitted to the psych ward as a long-term resident now.

The C.E.O. of the Pingdong Clinical Psychologist Association, Hu told, that the case has violent tendencies, always used threats of violence on others, that she’d advised to have him locked up long-term.  If the families wanted to take him home, then, they must learn how to interact with the case, to avoid violence, to change their ways of, interacting, relating to him from before.

Hu said, that psychological disorders aren’t a “get-out-of-jail free card”, the penal code 19 states, that punishments shall be waived if the individual can’t tell the difference of right and wrong behaviors due to psychological disorders, or other mental conditions.  But, the third of penal code 19 also stated that “unfitting to be used if the act of harm was intentional, or the individual admitted to knowing what’s right and wrong!”, and, if treatments aren’t given, there will be, the criminal charges enforced.

Hu suggests that the family seek out help as early as they possibly can, a lot of the families, due to their lack of understanding of the psychological disorders, are afraid, with the communications with the trained professionals, they can accumulate the skills to caring for their loved ones, and can, more easily, avoid similar acts of violence from recurring.

And so, this, is due to the lack of education, because the families aren’t trained like the professionals at the hospitals, they couldn’t offer the help that these mental patients needed to recover, and, if these mental patients aren’t getting the help they needed, then, some will become, violent, if they have the violent prior tendencies.  The system of evaluation is still, too loosened, too, lacking in this case.

The Balloons of, Goodwill

Noting and knowing what you wrote, that got printed, touched a reader’s heart, that was, enough for you, as a writer!  Translated…

As a person who works with words, I’d been writing, for decades to date, and, I’d been, submitting my articles to the papers for over a quarter of a century to date.  Like the sediments accumulated in the riverbanks, left behind, the pages of my, drafting papers too, and I’d recalled what a writer once said to me, she didn’t know where her readers are.

It’s also these couple of years, I’d met some new friends on FB, they’d read my book, I can see what they looked like too, knew the goings on of their lives, but, through the responses forwarded to me from the papers by my readers, there were, only, two.  (both were sent to me by the editor of the Family subsection)  One was an email, the other, a handwritten letter, with the postage stamps on the envelope, passing through the back counters of a post office, separated, along with the mail carrier’s sweat, and finally, arrived, at the editor’s office.

What was odd was, included, was a pack of black beans, and Mexican primrose-willow, for my cats.  The woman was Ms. Liu, at a time in her life, she’d read my articles which I’d written on my cats, knew that my cats started urinating blood out, recalled how her own old cat once had kidney disease too, and from someone else, she learned that drinking the water from black beans and Mexican primrose-willow can help that it could heal, and it actually, did, for her cat, and ever since, she’d, tried helping the cat owners she’d come across with such a problem.

In her letter, not only did she introduced the origins, the sources of the herbs, and described in close detail how the items should be cooked, how to keep it, how to feed it to my cat.  The words were so genuine, as I read, I saw her heart of, compassion, leapt onto the pages, alive, and warm.

But unfortunate, I was living in the U.S. then, and got the article printed out on the papers after my cat had died, and so, I’d, not made used of that pack of remedies.  The editor of the subsection of the papers sent a photo of that package of medication to me, asked me how I wanted to reply back?  I’d thought for a night, saw that there was a phone number listed, I’d decided to call to say thanks, and, if the individual refused to take my call for any reason, then, I can only, write my thank-you note to the editor of the paper’s subsection, and have him pass it along.

Ring~~~!, the following day, I’d gotten the phone going, then, about to talk to a strange reader, I’d felt, a bit, nervous.  The call was, picked up, “hello!”, it was a woman, with a full-volume of voice, I’d quickly stated my name, and told her why I’d called, and, worried she might thought that I was a scam artist.  And immediately, she’d, believed me, and, I’d, asked her permissions to allow the editor to give the remedies to someone else in need, which she’d, gladly, agreed.  An overseas call, a short conversation, and yet, the balloons of goodwill, started, soaring high, underneath, that sunny sky then.

This time, I’d known since I was younger, that I was going to, be a person who makes a living off of my words, and finally, I’d, become, just that too.  with the blood of a word cooker, word lover inside of my veins.  And although, I’d become stagnant, and caught dead, in the solitude of the literary, but quickly enough I’d discovered, that so long as I can still breathe, my feelings are still, flowing, the words shall, never die in me.  As for the readers, I’d come to believe, that the readers are, quiet, and, maybe, they’re, outside of the realms of the kudos I’d received.  Just as I’m also, a silent, unknown reader, to another’s, work too.

The internet is a brand new world within the world, a poem, an essay, a novel, met and mingled in the vast oceans of various medium, sinking, floating, drowning, dying, or, stand out among the rest.  Whether or not I’m noted, I know, that the only thing staying with me, would be, the words.

Then, I shall, keep on, writing then.  Yeah, the final line of my favorite novel stated it that way: writing, the journey, continues on.

And so, this is through the interactions with your readers, and knowing, how what you wrote gained a response, from that, certain someone else, you KNOW that your writings had, had an affect in someone else’s life, made her/him, response, and it didn’t matter if you’re an acclaimed author, with the books published or not, you’d, become, fulfilled, knowing, that what you wrote had, had an effect, on someone else’s, life.

With Tar Covering Up His Shoes, Huang Built the Bridges, Paved the Roads, for Thirty Years

Here’s a man, who’d, given everything he’s got, to better the lives of those in his, hometown, off of the Newspapers, translated…

Every morn, as the skies just turned white, Huang put on his work boots, and readied for work, headed out, this pair of tar-covered, heavier as the days went by pair of work boots of his, had followed him, as he’d, paved many a bridge, filled up, a ton of potholes on the roads, and, he wouldn’t dispose of them, until, they’re, opened up at the front.  As soon as he left his home, the Jia-Yi Goodwill Group’s road fixing crew is already, speeding close, the workers greeted each other good morning, Huang got on, and started the daily routines of fixing up the roads he’d begun some thirty odd years back.

The seventy-eight year-old man, Huang worked as a volunteer paver of local roads, builder of bridges, from before, because his older sister lived close to the office of the goodwill group, she’d gotten involved in volunteering first, and, she saw that he was leisurely on the weekends, she’d pulled him along, for him to exercise his muscles and bones, to help building the bridges, and, he’d become, “stuck” in this calling once he’d, started scraping the sands together, moving the concretes a day at a time, he’d laughed and said, “I can’t go back now!” of his volunteer work.

He’d told, that at the start of his volunteer career, he was still working at a public office, and he’d started, moving the items, digging for the foundations, mixing the concrete, although he felt tired in his body, but he was, more, fulfilled then, and since, he’d gone to help build the bridges every single week.

He stated, that over a decade ago after he’d retired, there are more time then, for him, to help pave the roads, later he’d, bought a professional tar truck that helps pour down the tar on the roads, more sturdy after the roads were, paved.

“The foreman, Huang was always first!”, the C.E.O. of his group, Goodwill Chiayi, Kuo told, that every time Huang helped with building of the bridges, to patch up the roads, he’d always stood first in line, worked the hardest job, his face was often covered in dusts, ashes, with that heavy layer of tar covering up his work boots, and others around him reminded him that he should get a brand new pair, he’d smiled and said, “the boots now withstands high heat, easier for me to work in!”

And so, this is how you can become, generative (in generativity vs. stagnation???) after you retired, find that something you can pour your hearts and soul into, and just do it, like this man, who saw a need, and, provided it.

The Associate Professor of Chang Jung Christian University Raped a Female Acquaintance He Met Online, Sentenced to Three-and-a-Half Years in Prison

How can you get only three-and-a-half years for RAPE???  This is still, INJUSTICE, I tell ya!!!  And this rape still happened because???  He thought that he, C-O-U-L-D!!!  Off of the Front Page Sections, translated…

The Chang Jung Christian University associate professor, Tsai, four years ago was accused of raping a lesbian woman, but he’d never admitted it, but the Tainan District Courts used the victim’s rape kit, as well as her friends testimonies, and other related evidences, believed that the act of sexual assault was, valid, yesterday, Tsai was sentenced to three years six months on forced rape.  This can still be appealed.

The father of the associate professor, Tsai is a current member of the examination board.  The Chang Jung Christian University stated that Tsai had been suspended from teaching his lectures, the school didn’t assign him to any more lectures, and they respect the results of the trial, the school will base the third appeal’s rulings, then, discuss if Tsai should still be hired as a teaching staff, or that he should be fired, there will be no leniency.

The female victim claimed, that in May of 2017, she saw a “Friends” ad by Tsai on the discussion boards, she’d left a message for him to contact her, they chatted for two months online; the first time they met up, they’d talked about investment ventures, the second time they met, they’d talked until five in the morning, Tsai made the excuses of wanting to continue the conversation, to follow her home, knowing that she’s a lesbian, he’d taken the advantage of her sleep, made his way into her bedroom, then, raped her.

Tsai denied the allegations, said that he was looking for a girlfriend that was why he’d posted the ad online, that back then, in his summer break, he’d stayed at her place, that they were, close to becoming, cohabiting partners then, until in August her partner made her way into her apartment that was when he’d found out she was a lesbian, and broke up with her, stressed that they’d gone on dates in the various restaurants, the movie theatres, the malls across the Tainan metro.

But the D.A. reexamined the Google Map and GPS trackers on her scooter, and her cell phone GPS, none of which matched up to the places where Tsai stated they went for the dates, plus the victim posed the rape kit from the hospital as evidence, along with the testimonies of her friends, and how she’d confronted him after he raped her on recording, the D.A. didn’t believe Tsai’s claims, and indicted him on sexual assault charges.

During the trial, Tsai still denied the allegations, the judge took the evidence of the victim’s hospital exams, and the counseling slips, believed that Tsai had, raped the woman, and considering how he’d not respected her, raped her body, caused her psychological traumas, and how he’d, still, dodged his responsibilities for rape, and not settled with her, sentenced him to three years six months.

And that, is what you got, for rape, still too lenient if you asked me, because, considering how this female experienced the rape, how she was violated, and, how much psychological, physical trauma she’d been, put through, no amount of sentence, however heavy won’t be enough, to make it up!

Anytime, Any Place, the Hard-to-Prevent Cyberbullying

The means, of how the hurt can happen, at any time of day, and anywhere!  On the facets of, cyberbullying, off of the Front Page Sections, translated…

The school therapist, of the guidance counselor’s office of a school analyzed the differences in cyberbullying and physical bullying in the past, and reason why cyberbullying should be examined, more closely:

From before, the place where bullying happens is in school, and now, with a cell phone to a child, the bullying became at anytime, any place.  For instance, a middle school student, Hwa felt that someone stole her boyfriend, then, she’d called on her cohort of friends, started sending the private messages to the person, posting the words publicly, or go to the IG to start cussing the guy out, and even, setting up a “trash-talk” Line Group of the guy, and the victims may not even be aware, that a group talking trash about her/him/them exists.

The use of sexual violence for revenge online is getting serious too.  There was a sixth grade who’d received a message that said, “I have nude photos of you, if you send me another, then I won’t post this one”, the kid almost believed, but thankfully, the adults stopped it upon finding out.

The digital footprints will never be erased.  Like the recordings the videos of the photos, the things that makes you targets of bullies, once it gets online, so long as the onlookers started passing it along, even if the bully was caught and reprimanded, the files are forever staying online, and, the victims may be, revictimized again.

What’s worth noting more of cyberbullying is that the bullied already got singled out by her/his friends, and, when it goes online, the endless cusses, the criticisms, will make the victims feel, “So, all those people hate me, despised me, rejects me”.  And if the bystanders, the teachers, the adult counterparts didn’t catch the S.O.S. from the child, with “just deal with it, they’re, just, making fun”, to a child, s/he will die on the inside, because if those s/he trusts won’t even help, it would, hurt her/him, even more.

So, this, is on the adverse effect of being, cyberbullied, because once it’s online, you can’t, EVER, erase, that digital footprint that you’d, left, and, because these children have NO awareness of the foresight of the consequences of their own actions (b/c the prefrontal cortexes aren’t properly developed yet!), the effects are, eternal.

What Death, Had, Turned, You, into…

This is what death, had, turned you, into, nothing!

That’s just it, isn’t it, we all, become, absolutely, NOTHING, after death takes us over.  That, is the way it is, isn’t it???

What death, had, turned, you into, nothing more, than a, bad dream I’d finally waken up out of, and from, and I shall, never again, get, back into, that state, of living in that, nightmare again (thank god, uh, as if, He, existed???).

A Horrific Stepfather, Beaten the Front Teeth Off of His Stepdaughter, & Locked Her Outside on the Balcony in the Dead of Winter, to Torture Her

And this still just, came “out”, now!  Imagine how L-O-N-G, this child must’ve, suffered, through the abuse of her own, stepfather, before all of this shit busted out in the open???  Off of the Front Page Sections, translated…

A stepfather, Chou from Taoyuan had long-term abused his ten-year-old stepdaughter, if she’d not listened, misbehaved, he’d, whipped her hard with his belt, and even beaten her in the face, in the eyes with his fists too, he’d broken her front teeth off, last winter when it got coldest, he’d even, locked her out in the lanai, and, allowed the coldness to hit her.  The Taoyuan District Attorney’s Office believed that Chou had harmed the young child’s body, mind to too severe an extent, recently, indicted Chou on obstruction of a young child’s growth, and asked the courts for a severe sentence, to warn Chou.

The D.A. investigated, that Chou is the young girl’s stepfather, they live together, and that made them into family, but he’d not done his responsibilities in protecting her, used the excuse of her misbehaving, not listening to him, started from February of last year, continually abused her using the rod, the broom, in frequencies of two, three times per week, and he’d even, whipped her really hard with his belt too.

The child sustained severe injuries all over her body, her torso, her limbs, and she was beaten on the face by her stepfather on the eyes, other than sustaining contusions on her eyes, her ears, she got her front teeth knocked out too, but Chou didn’t stop there, in the dead of winter around February, he’d, locked the child alone on the lanai outside, allowing the cold to attack her, took her mobility away, she was tortured for long term.

The case was out in the open, after the neighbors turned Chou in, as the district attorneys stepped in, Chou admitted to beating the child, but the motives of his beating her, and how many times, he’d, become, evasive on, but the child testified to his abuse, and the checks conducted by the hospital showed there were old and new injuries covering up her body, and, after assessment, the authorities believed, that she was abused physically.

And, the records kept by the city government of Taoyuan showed, that started in August of 2019, there had been multiple reports of the family’s reporting on domestic violence, and the young girl was placed in protective custody now.  The D.A. believed, that Chou beaten the young girl regularly, not given her enough food, not taken her to get treated when she fell ill, that it’d constituted as “torturing of a young child”, causing severe injuries in the child.

And wow, this went on, since august of, 2019 too, and, this kid, sustained the abuse her stepfather “endowed” her for two plus years, and now, it finally, busted, wide open, and where the FUCK (don’t pardon me!) was the social services before this, huh?  And, didn’t the schools note that she had, the multiple bruising, the scars covering her body too?  And, where’s the mother in all of this?  Was she, too, scare of her own second husband, that she couldn’t, even protect her own self, let alone this ten-year-old daughter of hers?  And all the before-mentioned “parties” in this “equation” should all get CHARGED, with abuse, abuse AND neglect if you ask me!!!  But hey, I’m still NOT the judge here, so…I don’t make the “calls” here…

Raising the Silkworms

The death, of that, whole “hoard” of, silkworms, and the teacher killed them!  A lesson, taught by nature, to this, science teacher of the elementary school years, translated…

Growing up, there were the dogs we kept, as guards of home, they ate, what we all ate, nothing special.

Back in the early 2000s, I’d started working as a science teacher in the elementary school years, the publishers of textbooks put out the silkworms for the children to raise, and mixed that into the lessons in science.  The children then became, nannies, raised their silkworms by the book, finished the lessons.  On the Memorial Day long weekends, leaving the silkworms in school, a few days of not having anyone to watch them, they may die; thought about giving the silkworms to my students, and, naturally, that would, give their parents, the troubles, I’d thought, that I was a science teacher, and I needed to experience what it’s like personally, to keep and raise the silkworms, and besides, I was, curious, how is keeping silkworms, different than keeping cats and dogs.

And so, I’d, taken the whole bunch home with me, and, I’d, taken the advantage, of going to the graves to make the offerings, to pluck some mulberry leaves for the silkworms.  But, they’d, all died, and I’d become, a total, executioner.

I’d looked deeper, into the cause of their deaths, and found, that the leaves only, looked like the mulberry leaves, that they weren’t, actually, and, I’d, thought, that the silkworms could eat it, and not have any troubles.  I’d returned back to class, emptyhanded.  The students inquired, “where are the silkworms?” I’d, confessed to them, shamefully, “They all, went to, heaven”, the students started mourning, and I’d, used the opportunity to teach them, to discuss with them, the fragility of life, along with how to adjust our selves, to traumas.

The lesson of the “silkworm incident” taught me one thing, and, afterwards, I’d not, relaxed, one bit, as a, school teacher.

So, this, is the hard-learned lessons, taught by a creature of nature to you, as a, science instructor, and you’d, learned THAT lesson well too, so, you won’t, have to, face the, collective deaths of, the “science project” of the entire class…

The Learning Process Profiles, Causing the Technical High School Students to Burn on Both Ends

I really, DO, feel, sorry for, these, next generations of, students here, they got enough on their plates, and here, the government’s, making it, even HARDER for them, like we the children don’t have enough already???  But hey, it’s still, the policies made by, the Department of Education here, a B-U-S-T, in the reforms of education here, off of the Front Page Sections, translated…

Next year, our first graduates of the newly implemented reforms of education is coming, for them, the learning process profiles, are, the biggies, but, the National Teachers’ Guild’s Home Chapter pointed out, that whether it be ordinary high schools, or technical high schools, the Department of Education mandated that the schools must upload the learning process profiles into the Central Database completely, causing the technical high school students to be tried by, preparing the profiles, and getting ready for the college entrance exams in May, which will make it harder for them to concentrate on their entrance exams, and, the act of having students upload their learning profiles is questioned as “focusing on the academics too much, and not on the skillsets enough”.

The Department of Education stated, that this is on the matters relating to the students’ higher education rights, that it affects the works of the entry level executive paperwork along with the risks of enrollment of students, that they will come up with a more fitting plan to deal with this, with the national education unit, in considering the rights of all students, and the needs of the parents too.

There’s a different system of gaining a higher education for the four-year university academic programs, and the two-year community college technical programs, the college entrances are administered in January of every year, while the general exams happen in May.  Based off of the Department of Education’s plans, the high school students’ exam results would be posted by end of March, and by April 26^th, the learning process profiles should be uploaded into the systems, with the same dates for the technical high schools, causing the technical high school students faced with the generalized entrance exams in less than a week’s time.

The leading member of the All General High School Program Education, Chang stated, that the technical high school students only had the generalized entrance exams of May, not like the regular high schools, with the subject exams, there’s no need, for them to follow the track of the college entrance exams processions, the two should be apart; the C.E.O. of the All-Education Foundation, Hou also stated, that of the technical high school students, half of who used the skills program to continue into school, that the learning process profiles are a major thing for this group of students, that the timing for the academic, the skills exams being at the same time, it may, impact the rights to continue education for the students of the technical high school tracks.

The Changwha Business High School instructor, Wu told, that the new curriculum is student-centered, but, as the students are preparing for their exams, they don’t have a clue what their interests are, making it hard for them to decide, based off of the current system, the students may be distracted to focus on preparing for their entrance exams.

And so, another FAIL is what this is, because this country is going “western”, not realizing, that transitions like these need to come a step at a time, and, before thneed to come a step at a time, and, before things are set up completely, with all the resources, available and ready for the students to use, WHAM, the systems F-R-I-E-D, and, guess W-H-O will, suffer the most from this???  Oh yeah, future generations of teens, entering college!
