Right to Bear Arms, Discrimination, Hate: the Law Enforcement Overuse of Firearms Causing Death Increased in Prevalence, a Long Way from the Reforms

How the overflowing availabilities of gun is one problem, and how the police’s overuse of gun power is another, and there are, other factors to consider in this, and until the U.S. tackles every one of these factors, and change the means of training, and how the police forces “equate” colors with threat, there are going to be more, racially related murders by guns in the U.S., that’s not going to change, NOT anytime soon!  Off of the Front Page Sections, translated…

Yesterday, the news from Tennessee of the five African American police officers in an arrest, beaten an African American teen to death, this caused the local communities and the African American communities to start protesting.  The American President, Biden stated that he was angered by this and felt heartbroken over what had happened; the former president, Obama stated, that there’s a long ways to go, to reeducate the police forces on how they patrol the streets.

But, a lot of people want to know, how come, there are, the growing number of cases where police in enforcing the law, civilians were being, murdered off?  And, how come, most of the victims of the police brutality, why are they mostly African American males?  For instance, from the March 1991 case where the African American male, Rodney King, was brutally beaten by three LAPD officers, causing the riots in L.A. back in 1992; along with the May, 2020, a middle-aged African American male got choked to death with the police choking his throat in Minnesota by the officers on duty, which started up the “Black Lives Matter” movement all around the U.S.  Clearly, the American police’s overuse of forces causing the African American citizens to get killed still continues on to this very day.  But why?  I sum up the five main causes here: first, the legal ownership of guns: because the American citizens are allowed to legally own arms, the excessive guns in the current situation in the States right now, everybody feared getting shot, so everyone owns a gun (for self-defense), casing the vicious cycle of distrusting one another.  And due to the legal ownerships of guns, there are many shootings, the guns going off in accidents (including school shootings, the six-year-old student shooting a school teacher).  Due to the excess of arms causing the officers on duty to become hypervigilant, which leads to the next cause.

Secondly, the police’s life are at all moment, in danger: because of the excess of weapons, the police’s natural reaction is that they automatically assume that the citizens they came into contact with are, armed.  And, under this mindset, the officers on duty worried over getting shot by the ordinary citizens, which led them to become extremely alert, to stay, alive, to prevent getting killed.  And, behind this state of mind, is relative to these three following factors.

Third, the problems of racism remain unresolved: the racism in the U.S. is still growing more and more serious, no matter if it’s toward African Americans, Asian Americans, they were the racial slurs, and the discriminatory behaviors against these minorities.  And, the African Americans are the least advantageous, which causes the vicious cycle, with the crime rates in the areas of African American residents being higher too than average; or, the officers on duty holding that higher level of alertness toward the minority groups.

Fourth, the hate that comes from being discriminated again.  This hate, with the excessive supplies of firearms, will cause many more lives to get, lost.  For instance, there’s the elderly Asian killing the Asian woman, and how in the outbreaks, the Asians often became targeted, all of this has to do with hate and fear, and racism.  And so, when hate is in place, and the guns are easily owned, there are, the built up of the murders in the society all around the U.S.

Fifth, the training of the officers should emphasize: the difficulties in resolving all of the above issues, or at least, for the time being, or in the, near future too.  But, we can use the police training to help the law enforcement become more aware, to strengthen the means of justice in police enforcing of the law.  Because the American police are local, not of federal matter; it’s hard to say, that this sort of education can get set up on the state of local government levels.  Or maybe, other than the functions of fighting crimes, the police forces needed to go through the continued education, trainings, the awareness seminars, to help reduce these, tragedies.

And so, this summed up why and how come, there are, so many, hate crimes, overuse of force in police in carrying out the laws in the U.S., causing the people to die: the overflowing of GUNS, because it’s our SECOND AMENDMENT right to BEAR arms!

But, if the guns aren’t that easily accessible, then, those shooters can’t get their hands on them, and, there would be, surely, a whole lot deaths caused by guns.

I agree, that police need more training, and, that this is a impossible thing to accomplish, because, as studies (don’t ask me which ones) showed, that colored persons are more easily misperceived as holding up a WEAPON when we’re holding up something harmless, like a pen, as interpreted by the police, because the law enforcement officials had been “groomed” to equate skin colors with danger, and this is rooted down too deep, and it can’t be changed that easily.  So yeah, EXPECT more of us who are, “minorities” to DIE by gunshot here.

Boundaries

The schemata of how we interpret things, which got exacerbated by what was told to us, adding to the stereotypes, which made us get into the flight mode, translated…

I’d stayed in the third largest city of the U.S., Chicago for a time.

Before I set out, the contacts of University of Chicago notified me, that they’d set me up for the international student dorms, that a lot of the shorter stay exchange students or the scholars all live there, that it’s a, “safe” location.

I couldn’t understand what the man meant “safe”, started guessing at it, was it the earthquakes?  The typhoons?  Or, the threats from the Chinese missiles?  And clearly, it was, NONE of these.

The contact also told me, because I had a mediocre length stay, and it was in the middle of the semester, that if it was during the summer vacations, I could find a room to rent from a student who’d gone home, that it would be cheaper, and closer to the school, that it would be, “safer”.

Another matter of safe and safter, the man kept mentioning the word, “safety”, and it’d made me imagined the gun shooting scenes in the American movies, and I couldn’t help but, trembled, and started wondering on the “difference between safe and safer”, and, with my language barrier, I would have to live at a “safer” location, why would I want to risk being just, “safe”?

Perhaps, my contact noticed my trouble, he’d immediately told me, “don’t worry!  You live on 59th Street, 59th north up to 49th is all safe, just don’t go over 59th~”

This made me worry even more, south of 59th is dangerous, doesn’t that means, that I live, on the “borders”?  Then, how can I be certain of how what’s “unsafe”, doesn’t break the boundaries?  Or, is the real boundaries of “unsafe” actually on 60th or 61st, 59th could be, farther away, from what’s, “unsafe” then?  But, what is the measurements, the considerations of this, means of, “safety”?

After a long, long ride, close to twenty hours since I’d landed, I’d finally, arrived at the gates of the international student dormitories, it was a road of at least, eight lanes, a freeway with all the cars rushing by, like a river that you can’t see the other side of.  There’s the widened island in the middle of the road, the green trees grew on that island, and I can’t seem to find a pedestrian’s crossing section.  I’d finally understood, the boundaries of “safety” of the 59th then.  I’d thought, what weaves to and from, in and out of this, boundary, perhaps, are nothing more than the pigeons, and the, sparrows.

Every day, I’d trekked to and from the international dorm and the school, and on the weekends, I’d gone to Lake Michigan to stroll.  As it was winter, there’s, nothing but snow on the streets.  And, I’d started, bumping across those riding out on their bicycles or the joggers, those who’d brushed shoulders with me, no matter the skin colors, they all, looked, decent, enough, and clearly, the local residents were with, higher levels of, education, with good jobs, and, so this, is a, “good” district.  I’d always, stared dumbfounded across the other side, looking up at the clouds overhead, imagined what the trees covered up, what’s, on the, other side?

One day, a few of my lab mates were driving out.  All the way, we were all chatty, and getting into good conversations, and then, suddenly, after a turn, everybody fell, silent, and, the streets were, sunken, in the, darkness of the rustiness of the steel, and, even if the colors are painted with brighter colors…………as I saw the faces of those who’d been living in Chicago for long, as a newbie, I’d, come to know, and, started, making myself, scarce in the seats.

At this time, the engine started, making the weird noises.  The driver started, sweating now, the passenger next to the driver, with his eyes opened wide, as if mumbling, “why did you have to turn in here”, and questioning, “did you get this car tuned up on time?”, at the same time, alerted to watch the goings on of the window, with one hand, clenching the handlebar over the window tight.

The engine that sounded like it was dying, was totally a contrast to the hearts beating in the car then, I’d felt heated u, but that cold sweat started, rolling down my spine.  Then, a few more blocks, the car, died.  And the three large guys by the side of the road noticed us, and the driver started getting, panicky, there’s no other pedestrians, no other cars anywhere near us.  The large man moved slowly, the driver quickly pressed the central door lock systems, and we had all, started, hyperventilating, and the driver started the keys in the ignition over, over, and over, I’d squinted my eyes to the lines.  “Could it be that he’s here, to offer us help?”, a thought came to me, but I’d not, dared, blurt it aloud……………

It’s moving, it’s moving, the car is, moving, I’d looked through the rearview, saw the large men spreading their arms out, and, shrugging, away.

Then, I kept on wondering, maybe, they were there, to help us out, it’s just, that invisible border of the stereotypes are like the boundary of the 59th, like that huge gap that none of us can, and were, willing to, cross, to the point that as I’d asked my friends later, if they would, live through it again, will they still have run in a hurry, they’d responded, that they, would.

And so, this is how the stereotypes can get so deep in us, that we get into the mindset of automatically separating people into the categories that we were, socialized to put them in, and that’s just wrong, because if you don’t get to know the individual personally, how can you tell if the person is good, or bad, just based off of their, skin colors?

From the Inside of Harvard: Asian Students Found to be Discriminated Against

Racism, found in one of the MOST prestigious schools in the U.S., and you still think that there’s NO problem in this world that we’re currently residing in??? Is someone IN DENIAL or what??? From the Front Page Sections, translated…

The Harvard University was accused of discriminating against Asian students, based off of the documents turned in by the S.F.F.A. provided to the courts by the students, the Asian American students’ “personality characters” received a consistent lower marking, and thus, the rate of admittance were, lowered, had it not been so, the number of Asian students in Harvard would be, doubled, and reach forty-three percent.

S.F.F.A. accused Harvard for systematically discriminating against Asian students, that it was, against the civil rights laws. The S.F.F.A. claimed, that in admissions, Harvard used a “balancing of the races” method, causing there to be a lowered number of Asian students getting accepted, and allowing more whites, African Americans, and Latin Americans who aren’t as qualified to get in.

The New York Times reported, that the analyses by the S.F.F.A. showed, that on “positive characteristics”, including personable, courage, friendliness and “gaining a wider spectrum of respect”, the Asian applicants always scored lower than the other students who’d applied.

The Asian students performed exemplary in the areas of academia, tests, and extracurricular activities compared to the other races of students, but because of the Asian students’ “positive characteristics” being lowered, thus, it’d, reduced their chances of getting accepted into the school.

Harvard had denied the allegations on the fifteenth, stated that the analyses conducted by statisticians of the school showed NO such tendencies; during these past few weeks, Harvard had tried to prevent the related reports from leaking out.

And, if this is true, then, it only showed, how RACIST one of the most prestigious university in the U.S. is, and, maybe, the heads of the departments are rationalizing how they’re only, trying to give equal opportunities to ALL the students of ALL the races, but this is racial profiling, and it’s, happening right now, in 2018!

Another Case Like Michael Brown

But this time, the kid’s name WAS Tony Robinson, from NBCNEWS.com…

A 19-year-old black man was shot dead Friday during a confrontation with a police officer in Madison, Wisconsin, according to police.

A family spokesman confirmed to NBC affiliate WMTV that the deceased was 19-year-old Tony Robinson, a graduate of Sun Prairie high school.

The shooting took place Friday evening, according to police, and sparked protests including a sit-in at Madison City Hall.

Madison Police Chief Mike Koval said an officer responded to reports of a man walking in traffic and hitting pedestrians, WMTV reported.

Koval said the officer followed the man to a residence, where he attacked the officer. During the confrontation the officer drew his weapon and shot the suspect.

The officer performed CPR on the suspect, who was taken to a hospital but later died. Koval said the Division of Criminal Investigation will lead a probe into the shooting.

More than 100 protesters gathered at the scene of the shooting, according to witnesses and reports, with video showing the crowd chanting: “Who can you trust? Not the police.”

“He was a loving and caring young man according to his grandmother,” family spokesman Michael Johnson said on Facebook.

Johnson said Robinson wanted a business degree and that he was about to attend the Milwaukee Area Technical College.

Police are expected to release more details about the incident Saturday morning.

And so, we still have here, an officer of the law, SHOOTING an African American boy, because the boy appeared armed and dangerous, and, given the circumstances, you’d think, that the officer only needed to shoot the boy, to WOUND him, NOT to kill him, but, that, was what had happened, and now, we have, ANOTHER Ferguson, ALL over again!

Another Unarmed Man Got Shot by the Police…

Another Unarmed, Minority Man Got Shot by the Police…

Call it another case like Ferguson if you will, and, this will still, keep repeating itself, until the world E-N-D-S, from MSNNEWS.com, written by E.M. Johnson, edited by: C. Johnston, E. Beech…

Police officers who fatally shot a Mexican farm worker in Washington state after he pelted them with rocks fired 17 shots at the man, striking him five or six times, police said on Wednesday, in an incident that has fueled protests.

Antonio Zambrano-Montes, 35, an unemployed orchard worker from Mexico’s Michoacan state, was killed earlier this month in Pasco, a city of 68,000 residents in Washington state’s agricultural heartland, in a shooting captured on video.

His death sparked protests by demonstrators who accused Pasco police of overly aggressive tactics in dealing with the Hispanic community and who likened the shooting to two high-profile police killings of unarmed black men in Ferguson, Missouri, and in New York City.

Police said that officers responding to a report of a man throwing rocks at passing cars shot Zambrano-Montes after he began pelting them with rocks and ignored commands to surrender. They said a stun gun had also failed to subdue him.

Kennewick Police Sergeant Ken Lattin, a spokesman for a special unit investigating the case, told reporters on Wednesday that all three of the officers involved in the incident had fired their weapons.

“Did he have some sort of injury? Did he have some mental health situations that he was dealing with in the days and hours (before the incident)? Or was he under the influence of drugs? We need to know,” Lattin said.

A video of the incident uploaded to the Internet shows Zambrano-Montes running from officers and then briefly turning and raising his arm before he was killed. Police did not say where on his body was struck, but they did say he was not shot in the back.

Lattin said a rock was found next to Zambrano-Montes’ body. He was not armed with a gun or knife. Two of the officers were struck with rocks and treated at the scene.

Rights groups have urged the U.S. Justice Department to launch an investigation into the incident, which the Mexican government has condemned as a disproportionate use of lethal force. A lawyer for the man’s family has said his constitutional rights were violated.

The three officers involved in the incident, including one who is Hispanic, were placed on administrative leave pending an internal probe.

So, you still think that the world had improved, and changed that much???  Think AGAIN!!!  Because this kind of situation had happened, so many times already, and yet, civilization still NEVER learn, why IS that???  Why must we try to fit one another into those small, cubic boxes of race, gender, nationality, etc., etc., etc.???

Legalizing Racial Profiling

Call this, steps taken, BACKWARDS if you will!!!  But, it’s all, EXCUSES if you ask me.  Found on the MSNNEWS websites…

The Obama administration will soon issue new rules curtailing the use of profiling, but over the objection of civil rights groups, federal agents will still be allowed to consider race and ethnicity when stopping people at airports, border crossings and immigration checkpoints, according to several government officials.

The new policy has been in the works for years and will replace decade-old rules that banned racial profiling for federal law enforcement, but with specific exemptions for national security and border investigations. Immigration enforcement has proved to be the most controversial aspect of the Obama administration’s revisions, and law enforcement officials succeeded in arguing that they should have more leeway in deciding whom to stop and question.

The administration is set to release the new rules in the midst of nationwide protests over recent decisions in New York and Ferguson, Mo., not to prosecute white police officers for the deaths of unarmed black men. President Obama and Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. have sought to calm tensions between law enforcement and minorities.

The new rules expand the definition of prohibited profiling to include religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation and gender identity. They will cover local police assigned to federal task forces, but not local police agencies. They eliminate the broad exemption for national security, but F.B.I. agents will still be allowed to map neighborhoods and use that data to recruit informants from specific ethnic groups.

The debate over racial profiling in immigration enforcement, however, has delayed the release of the new rules for months. Mr. Holder, who was leading the policy review, told colleagues that he believed that border agents did not need to consider race or ethnicity. But the Department of Homeland Security resisted efforts to limit the factors it can consider when looking for illegal immigrants. Department officials argued that it was impractical to ignore nationality when it came to border enforcement.

“The immigration investigators have said, ‘We can’t do our job without taking ethnicity into account. We are very dependent on that,’ ” said one official briefed on the new rules. “They want to have the least amount of restrictions holding them back.”

The effects of any rule change could be felt far from the border with Mexico or Canada. Federal agents have jurisdiction to enforce immigration laws within 100 miles of the borders, including the coastlines, an area that includes roughly a third of the United States, and nearly two-thirds of its population. Federal agents board buses and Amtrak trains in upstate New York, questioning passengers about their citizenship and detaining people who cannot produce immigration papers. Border Patrol agents also run inland checkpoints looking for illegal immigrants. Senator Richard J. Durbin, Democrat of Illinois, has called the existing rules “a license to profile.”

Under the new rules, agents in those instances will still be allowed to consider race, national origin and other factors that would otherwise be off limits, according to several officials who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the draft rules. In an apparent nod to its critics, the administration will conduct a separate review into how agents conduct screening, border interdiction and inspections, the officials said.

The leeway in the rules reflected the fact that Border Patrol agents face challenges that F.B.I. agents and drug investigators do not, one senior official said. “They have a very short period of time to make an assessment as to whether further inquiry needs to be given,” he said. The rules will included new training requirements and will require federal agents to keep records on complaints they receive about profiling, several officials said.

The Obama administration’s revisions come on the heels of the president’s decision to grant legal status to millions of immigrants who entered the country illegally. The new rules are likely to upset some of the advocacy groups that pushed hardest for that action. “Of course we are disappointed,” said Tanya Clay House, the public policy director of the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, which has lobbied the administration on racial profiling for several years but has not been officially notified of the new rules. She said racial profiling is ineffective, both in general and at the border.

Mr. Holder, the nation’s first black attorney general, has spoken forcefully against racial profiling. He has recounted being stopped by police as a college student and as a federal prosecutor. But while law enforcement officials were generally supportive of his efforts to broaden protections for minorities, Mr. Holder ran into objections on the issues of national security and border protection.

F.B.I. agents opposed a wholesale ban on considering race and nationality in terrorism investigations. They said, for example, that an agent investigating the Shabab, a Somali militant group, must be able to find out whether a state has a large Somali population and, if so, where it is.

The Justice Department was prepared to announce its revisions to the racial profiling rules earlier this year, but the White House intervened and ordered a broad review that included the Department of Homeland Security, the parent agency of the Border Patrol. Because Mr. Holder cannot, on his own, tell another cabinet department what rules to follow, the new guidelines amount to months of negotiations between the Justice Department, Homeland Security and the White House. The broad exemptions for national security and immigration were eliminated, but several provisions remain.

The rules — both the current version and the revisions — offer more protection against discrimination than the Supreme Court has said the Constitution requires. The court has said that border agents may not conduct roving traffic stops simply because motorists appeared to be of Mexican descent, but agents at checkpoints may single out drivers for interviews “largely on the basis of apparent Mexican ancestry.” The court ruled that the government’s interest in protecting the border outweighed the minimal inconvenience to motorists.

But Representative Beto O’Rourke, the Texas Democrat who represents the border city of El Paso, said that because the United States was so diverse, such policies unnecessarily expose millions of people to being stopped. “How can race help a Border Patrol agent or customs officer do a better job in a city like El Paso, where 85 percent of the people are Hispanic?” Mr. O’Rourke said.

Last year, the Border Patrol settled a racial-profiling lawsuit in which Washington state residents accused border agents of racial profiling while making traffic stops near the Canadian border. The government admitted no wrongdoing but agreed to retrain its agents on the profiling rules.

Like the existing rules, the new guidelines prohibit federal agents from relying on broad stereotypes — that members of a certain race are more likely to deal drugs than others, for example. But the authorities can consider race when responding to specific leads, such as when a witness describes a gunman as tall, white and blond.

So basically, this still goes against the ACLU’s beliefs, doesn’t it? I mean, you can be discriminated against, just because someone has an issue with your religion, with your skin color and all of that BULLSHIT, and so, we’re now, BACK, in time, in 1960s, maybe??? Don’t really know the years, but, it was, somewhere ‘round there, I think…

Being Judged Based Off of Your Skin Color

And NO, the time machine still didn’t just CRASH, into the 1950s or 1960s either, because this SHIT is still currently ongoing, I’d encountered it, just six years back, and, the humans (yeah, I’m talkin’ to ALL of Y-O-U out there!!!) still hadn’t “advanced” all that much, I mean sure, the citizen of the United States of America DID pick out their FIRST African American (trying to be politically correct here, so, don’t SHOOT me!!!) president, but, guess what, a BLACK LOSER (as that, is what THAT one was too!!) FUCKING (oopsy!) singled ME and my family out, because our skin colors are of a different shade, and, it still goes back to being oppressed, because whites discriminated against blacks (and no, I’m still NOT a R-A-C-I-S-T, just making MY point???), and blacks against Asians, and Asians will discriminate against some other creed, race, or whatever, and whoever the HELL that ends up at the bottom of that “food chain” is still UNLUCKY, and I’d put an END to it in my own life!

And, in light of the shooting of that high school boy by the police, because of his skin color (Michael Brown, was it???), it’d gotten the small town raging, and it’s about time too, and, until your own kids fall victim to such atrocities, you will NOT make it into a cause, but, why must you, stupid people wait, just help put an END to this indifference right now, because you DO realize, that if someone gets SHOT again, and you felt the regrets, that’s still all gonna be, H-I-N-D-S-I-G-H-T by then, you DO know that, right?  And, this is still basic level things, or, am I still just, way too INTELLIGENT, for all of you out there to “handle” now???  Well, maybe I am then, this, is still the Q-U-E-E-N and HER BIG E-G-O talkin’…

The Assemblies in Missouri Won’t Dissipate, Seven Members of the Rioters Were Arrested

On the recent shooting of an African American teen by cops in the U.S.A., from the Front Page Sections, translated…

When the curfew for the city of Ferguson, Missouri took place on the early morning of the 17th, there were two hundred rioters who ignored it, and kept gathering in the place where the eighteen-year-old youth, Brown, was shot and murdered brutally by the police.  The police shot the gas bombs into the crowd and threw tear gas toward the crowd too, managed to arrest seven individuals.  At the same district, there was also a murder by guns too.

The governor, Nixon, on the 16th, declared that Ferguson is in a state of emergency on the 16th, and from midnight of the 17th, started enforcing a curfew, which was ended at five in the morn.  Over a hundred of the public who’d gathered, left in peace before the curfew started, and, Ferguson was peaceful, save for the place where the teenager was shot, where the protestors ignored the curfews and still gathered, screaming, “NO CURFEWS!”

Not long thereafter, heavily armed police started shooting gas and tear bombs into the crowd, and slowly moved forward, to stop the crowd from gathering up.

When the police was at a standoff with the protestors, someone was shot in the same area, the police had yet to identify the injured victim, Johnson stressed, that the man injured was NOT shot by the police, and the man who’d shot him is still at large.

The governor, Nixon said, that the curfews had helped maintain order in Ferguson, and, the curfews will be lifted, as the local government sees fitting.

After Brown was shot by a white police officer, Wilson, on the ninth, the racial tension is on the rise locally, and, the residents had multiple times started riots, and there were those who took advantage of the situation.  Johnson pointed out, that there were forty FBI agents who made house calls since the sixteenth, to find the witnesses to the shooting, and a few weeks from now, hopefully, everything will be cleared up.

Once again, the locals saw this as a racial thing, and, maybe it IS a racial thing, after all, NOBODY would EVER mistake a WHITE dude, holding something that’s NOT threatening, and SHOOT him, and this young man was shot, because of his skin color, so, no wonder the local residents are PISSED off about it.

White American Officers Shot an African American Adolescent, and Thousands of Americans Protested about It

And no, your time machines still didn’t CRASH, and landed your separate ASSES back in the 1960s-ish???  This IS racial profiling, stereotype, at ITS worst, and it had happened, in the U.S.A. the “land of the free”???  From the Front Page Section, translated…

On the ninth, when the Ferguson police of Missouri was out on duty, they’d had a physical confrontation with an eighteen-year-old African American male, Brown, who was unarmed, and the police used guns, fired off several shots, and killed Brown.  And, Brown’s death had gotten over a thousand of the citizens in the public to gather up and protest, and, it’d led to a riot between the police and the citizens, along with the angry mob, breaking into stores, and destroying the police squad cars.

The chief of police of St. Louis in the press conference, stated, that two officers had bumped into Brown and another male close to an apartment compound, as the police were getting out of their patrol cars, Brown attempted to push the officers back inside and attempted to reach for the guns that the police officers carried.  The police fired a shot inside the squad car, and, after the physical confrontation continued on the streets, Brown had died of multiple gunshot wounds about thirty-five feet away from where the squad car was.  And the witnesses claimed that they saw Brown get shot eight times.

And, the public and the police engaged in a he-said she-said on what had happened.  Based off of the companion who was with Brown, Johnson, they were walking down the streets, when the police called out to them, and pulled out their guns, and started shooting at Brown, as Brown turned around, raised up his arms, was about to get on the ground, the police got close to him, and, fired off several shots toward him, and they weren’t involved in any arguments or confrontations.  And Johnson was not under arrest either.

On the tenth when the police held a press conference, over a hundred residents gathered outside the Ferguson Police Station, some of the civilians had gotten so angered and moved into the close by police quarters, raising up their hands, screamed out, “do NOT shoot me”, they acted as if they are needing mercy from the officers.  The police held down the fortress, and then, the mob of people dissipated.

But, on the night when they’d held a candlelight vigil prayer session at the scene of where Brown got shot, the crowd got out of control and it became a riot.  Over a thousand had attended this candlelight vigil, and afterwards, some of the protestors got into it with the police, and started robbing the stores on the streets.  The convenience store of a gas station nearby was robbed, a nearby Wal-Mart was robbed too, and there were those who’d jumped UP onto the squad cars, to start something, or to vandalize the properties.  The police took their dogs and started throwing tear gas into the public, but, the local police force was NOT enough, and so, the neighboring areas’ police were called on to help out.

This case had gotten the attention of the local civil rights leaders, and they stated that this, was exactly like the 2012 case where an unarmed seventeen-year-old African American who was killed by a WHITE officer, Zimmerman, and, Zimmerman was found not guilty by the courts.

And now, they don’t know if the office who’d shot Brown was white or not, Ferguson is a predominantly black neighborhood north of St. Louis, in the suburbs.  The people who were critical about this claimed, that when the St. Louis area officers were out, making their rounds, they specifically targeted African American youths.

Brown’s mother said, that Brown had just graduated from high school this year, and was about to head off to a local university.

And so, history is still repeating itself here, and there WERE previous cases, I just can’t recall the years that those previous cases had happened, and, it’s JUST like what we’d learned about in social psyc, that the police would more than likely to see a minority (like African Americans???) with a harmless object, and see the person holding something threatening, versus if they were face-to-face with a WHITE man, and this, is ONE MORE (and I’m quite certain that it still won’t BE the last!!!) case where the color of one’s skin got you brutally KILLED by the police.
