Bowie Tseng Witnessed Life & Death Firsthand, “Leaving is What He Wanted to Do the Most”

The interviews with those considering euthanasia, whose been in ailing health conditions, from the Entertainment Sections, translated…

Bowie Tseng in Basel, Switzerland, witnessed the 104-year-old Australian biologist, Goodall, ending his own life by euthanasia, in the final three days of his life, she’d stayed with him, ate with him, held conversations, in that final moment, she was, filled with ambiguity inside, “in just one hour, he will be gone, and I’d messed up the time he should be spending with him family, because of work, until he’d finally asked those around him, ‘what are we waiting for?’, the employees of the clinic told him, ‘there are still forms we need to fill out’, he’d sighed, ‘there are always forms to be filled out’, at that moment, I’d, let go, I shouldn’t use my own sorrows, to interpret him leaving the world happy, that’s what he wanted to do the most, as a bystander, we should, give him our blessings.”

Bowie Tseng took the documentary filming, in the past few months, she’d trekked to Great Britain, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and Ireland, to interview those who’d lost their loved ones by euthanasia, and in February, she’d also, interviewed the activist for euthanasia in Taiwan, Dar-Jen Fu, “he’s weak, needed morphine to stay alive, in the interview sessions, he was still full of responsibilities, claimed the purpose of his wanting his own death.” And, before she set foot to go to Switzerland, she’d thought of a million questions to ask Goodall, the biggest shock for her, “I’d never interviewed anybody who’d determined her/his own date of death, how do I go about approaching him, how do I ask my question, to not be offensive toward him, how do I, say goodbye.”

Bowie Tseng said, “He’s older than I imagined him to be, I’d held onto the oldest hands I’d ever shaken, with the years on them, wrinkles, spots, and because of muscular atrophy, the joints were very apparent, but he was still very strong. I’d gone with him and his family to the botanic gardens for a stroll, he’d petted the plants along the way, I’d asked him if he was saying goodbye to them all, and he’d asked me, ‘why would I?’, at that very moment, I’d found, all the questions I’d wanted to ask him to lose meaning, because he doesn’t care anymore.”

There’d been war between the pro and anti euthanasia groups, Bowie interviewed a British elderly woman, who was born with severe handicap, and in the entire interview, she’d needed the respirator connect to her, and every fifteen minutes, the nurse had needed to help get the phlegm out of her lungs, but because of her optimism toward life, and her two marriages, despite how bad her conditions for staying alive was, she’d spoken up against euthanasia, and her speech had helped altered British law, and, gotten the parliament to vote against euthanasia. And BBC filmed the life of “Simon”, the businessman who had ALS, who’d not progressed to the point when euthanasia should be a consideration for him, he was accompanied by his own wife, to have it, as the footages come out into the open, it’d shaken up the entire world. Bowie Tseng said, “I’d interviewed his wife this time, and she’d told me she was regrettable for doing this, she believed, that death is not the business of the individual, although you may be ill, but you still don’t have the rights, to take away the time your family gets to spend with you.”

something used, to show that you don’t want to be resuscitated, photo from online…

After this experience, Bowie Tseng said, “I will work hard, to cherish my life every day, every gathering with friends, every meal, I will work hard, to make all of this meaningful.”

And so, because this woman was personally interacting with these individuals who are in the process of getting euthanized, it’d impacted her, on a personal level, and, she’d bore witness to how bad someone was living, and yet, still was against euthanasia, this is probably going to be, the most memorable experience of interview that this woman will ever have in her entire life.

The Marathon Queen and Her Husband Ran for Love Around the Island, to Raise the Funds

Running for a bigger purpose here! From the Newspapers, translated…

In Twenty-Four Days, She Ran 1,120 Kilometers, Yesterday, They’d Returned Back to Their Starting Point in Luzhou, and Managed to Raise Over $200,000N.T.s for Taidong.

“Your compassions, are what motivated us on running around the island”, the “Super Marathon Queen”, Wnag and her husband, Su started the 24-day long “Running for Love” around the island, a total distance of 1,120 kilometers, and managed to raise over $200,000N.T. for the distant regions in Taidong, and it’d made Wang, who had minor health problems running on the way moved, she told the press, “It’d all been, more than worth it!”

the video of it from UDN.com…https://video.udn.com/embed/news/880921

The 48-year-old mother-of three Wang, started running at the very start to lose weight, later, she’d not only lost over 10 kilograms, in 2013, she successfully challenged herself on the competitions around the island, and the following July, she’d gone to France to run another super marathon, received second place in that event, gaining her reputation as the “Queen of Marathon”.

After Wang finished running across Taiwan, it’d sparked Su’s dreams of running across the island to visit too. On April 28th, the couple had a water bag on each of their backs, with a light wind coat, their flipflops, a towel, in the early morning, in the cheering of the running party, they set out from the gates of the Chenggong Elementary in Luzhou.

Wang said, the mission of this trip, is not only to “get her better half of twenty-five years back”, to help him live his dreams, it’s a sort of a second honeymoon for them; but more importantly, before they started off, Su had printed out the bandanas “Running for Love” to sell for charity at $500 a piece, to raise the funds of the Taidong Jiali Li Foundation.

She said, in the twenty-four days, the fund they raised has passed $200,000N.T.s, and a lot of their fellow runners, after they’d sponsored the bandanas, they’d still wired the donations in, said that they wouldn’t need the bandanas sent to them, “Hope to save the bandanas to those who need them”; changing the smaller scale love to a grander scale, the combined forces of the runners community is simply amazing!

And so, this, is how the cycle of kindness rolled bigger, and bigger, and bigger, and it still all started with a thought, that desire, to help the less fortunate out.

Only the Maternity Leave Bonuses? Helping Women to Enjoy Becoming Mothers

Why the whole environment doesn’t add to women’s wanting to have children, causing the aging population, the declines in birthrate to continue, from the Front Page Sections, translated…

The Legislative Branch upped the bonuses of women having children, and although all three of my children are all, over four years of age, I’m still very happy, toward the signing of this law. After all, this was, the most direct, most simple method. But, there are a lot of highly-educated, high income friends who’d still, refused to have children, and all these working moms told me, that it’s simply, too tiresome, to have to work, and look after their own young.

I was born in the eighties, and, a lot of my friends and families had their young after age thirty, they’d lacked that strength compared to the people in their twenties, and they’re at the stage of their lives they needed to, work hard to get ahead in their jobs, it would be, even more difficult, to look after their families. I’d consoled with them, to stop working, and enjoy being a full-time mother, but they’re not, taken with the idea.

Surely, the birthrate had been, dropping year after year, and the divorce rates, higher and higher, our generation has that sense of emergency toward marriage. I’d heard many who’d experienced it, telling me, that women need to be economically independent, not wanting to let go of their jobs, with marriages, untrustworthy, who has the mind, to have, and raise children? But, the duties of childrearing are mostly on the women’s shoulders in Taiwan, and this, won’t be resolved, with a couple of thousand dollars worth of bonuses given by the government.

One of the root causes of decline in birthrate is the economy, secondly, it’s the problems of the society. If the families are stabilized, if men are willing to chip in to help with raising the children too, then, women would surely, enjoy being mothers.

And so, this showed how it would be, unwise, for women to settle down to have children, and how this society doesn’t support the ideas of we women having children, after all, we are the ones, raising our own young, while you men just comes home after a long and hard days of work (NEWSFLASH, you MORONS, we women work our nine to fives outside the home, and we come home, to continue the job for 24/7!!!), and, this problem still won’t be resolved, by the extra bonuses that the government pays us women, for having more children, and what are we, NUTS? Why would we want to start our families, if we can excel in our jobs, after all, a job that pays well, gives us that sense of security, and, none of us would be happy, not contributing to this society here!

My Wife, Intrigued by the Shadows

Her hobbies, translated…

In recent years, my wife started taking up photography, in about two years, she’d, ruined three cameras, even the one that I had, I’d, contributed to her, and, in no more than a year, it’d, “retired” too.

Whether if it’s out on a trip, or just, strolling in the Botanical Gardens, my wife would always carry a camera with her, she’d looked, then, taken the shots, some of the scenes, don’t look that vital to me, she’d be too focus, documenting it, like she’d, become a field researcher, or a photography news reporter or something.

like what this young child is doing???  Photo from online…

She’d mostly taken photos of the weeds, the flowers, a small flower, she could use various angles, distance, and shoot so many shots, it’s a wonder, that the longevity of her cameras is less than a year. But, what my wife loved photographing the most, are the shadows, and so, I’d, nicknamed her a “shadow” fanatic. Any shadow, to her, looked intriguing, the plants’ shadows at the Botanical Gardens, she’d wanted to take shots of, said there are spots, that you don’t normally see; the reflection of the large tree outside the Yun-Shuan Sun Memorial on the windows of the mansions close by, she’d felt they’d, swayed with the wind, that it was, beautiful, surely, a shot. As we’d walked across the bridge, and, our reflections were imprinted into the waters, she’d, taken shots of; the egrets, the birds waiting by the pond, looking for the fish at the Da-An Forest Park, a must.

There were, too many photos she’d taken shots of, I can’t recall them all. But, once we’d sat at a café inside the Wenzhou Street alleys, there was a Chinese parasol tree, with the leaves growing in fully, the afternoon sun shone through the leaves, landed outside the walls of the café, the wind blew, and the shadows, they’d swayed. I’d, compared the photos she’d taken, and suddenly, understood why the older eras of Chinese people called it “the Shades of Light”; the sun and the shadows they changed, with the times of day.

Thinking on it, my wife, the photographer, must’ve thought, that in the instants of the shadows that changed, capturing it with her camera, would turn it into eternity.

With this photography fanatic at my house, and so, as I saw the potted plants on the lanai, the shadows, reflected onto the doors, I’d immediately, called her to it.

And so, this woman loved the look of the shadows, and, she’d taken up this hobby that’s good for her, and, her preferences in photography is unique, only to her.

She Was Mine, a Child, Lost in Time…

She was mine, a child, lost in time, and time has, its, death-grip around her throat, slowly, suffocating her, choking her, into that slow death.

She was mine, a child, lost in time, the one who’d, never had the chance of being “formed”, and yet, I still, loved (in the past), love (in the present tense!) her so very much, simply because, she was, mine, and there need not be, any other reasons.

She was mine, a child, lost in time, and, she’d, drowned slowly, in the river of time, and, there was, nothing I could do, but to, kneel by the riverbeds, and cried all my tears, and my tears, in turn, formed another, grander river, then the river of time, my child had been, drowned to death in.

She was mine, a child, lost in time, the one who’d, never made it, the one who’d been dead, way before her time! And, there was still, NOTHING I could’ve done, or can do about this death that I’d been carrying, since 2008………

She was mine, a child, lost in time, and, in lost time’s embrace, I know, she’ll, grow up safe and sound, and besides, it’s better, that my daughter stays DEAD, because this world is so full of FUCKING shit, and I surely as HELL wouldn’t want what had happened to me, to happen to her too!

She was mine, a child, lost in time, and, time shall, keep her safe and sound, untouched, and, she wouldn’t lose her innocence as I did, when I was, a very young child myself………

The Female Disciplinary Official of a School Pimped Out a Student to a Rich Businessman

Wow, so school officials are now, “moonlighting” as PIMPS now??? That’s really awful, wouldn’t you say? From the Front Page Sections, translated…

A female disciplinary official of a certain private high school in Taoyuan, Jiang was accused of selling adolescent girls’ first nights for $100,000N.T.s to rich businessmen, was sentenced to three and a half years in prison for breaking the laws that prevented children and adolescent sex trades, the case can still be appealed.

Afterwards, the female disciplinary official was transferred out of the school on reasons of being unfitting, the Department of Public Education stated, that if she was found guilty, she will lose her status as a disciplinary official at the schools, and, her pensions will be gone too.

The Taoyuan District Court investigated, that the female disciplinary school official, Jiang (age 43) was a familiar acquaintance of a rich businessman, Huang, two years ago in August, Huang asked, “Are there any young ones you can introduce me to sleep with?”, the female disciplinary school official first found a female student who’d been part-timing, and asked if she was willing to sell? The female student used the excuse of “I’m not short on cash” to turn her down.

And, this female student turned to her girlfriends at the school and asked if they are willing to, another female student, after accepting the offers to make the “extra cash”, the female disciplinary school official, Jiang took the female student to the SOGO shopping mall in Zhongli to meet up with Huang, and they’d agreed on a $100,000N.T. price tag for selling her.

But, in the conversations, the businessman realized that the girl was very childish, and after inquiring, learned that she was not yet eighteen, Huang worried that he might break the laws, got chickened out, paid the female disciplinary school official and the female student $3,000N.T. each, then left, they’d not completed the deal. And afterwards, the female student’s parents found out, and sued the female school official for pimping their daughter out.

In the trial, the female disciplinary school official, Jiang denied having pimped out the student, or seduced the student to sell her body, claimed that she was only looking for female students wanting to work, but she’d turned her down, she’d not known that the student had, found another girl, and didn’t know the other young woman’s age.

But the girl who’d gone to the “interview” and Huang, the rich businessman testified, “the school official Jiang was the pimp!”, and offered the LINE records, along with the details of the agreement of the trade, which made the judge confirmed, that the female disciplinary official WAS involved in pimping and seducing an underage minor to sell for sex.

And this, is just how easily these young women CAN and WILL sell their bodies, and this also showed, how LACK of morality the school officials are becoming, they’re willing, to PIMP out the students, for a little EXTRA cash, and how do you, parents feel safe, sending your kids to school, under these conditions, huh???
