Vertebrates Dwelling in the Cities, a Poem

The wildlife, invading into the cities, because we were the ones, taking their, natural habitats, away first!  The effects of us humans, invading into the natural world here…translated…

This is Either a Double-Blind or a Single-Blind Experiment

The Hamster in the Laboratory Have No Clue

Before the Dawn Breaks, He’d Dreamed about the Exercise Wheels

His Cheeks, Full of Seeds

Like the Twitching of the Infantile, with Eyes Wide Open

Almost Couldn’t Take

The Confusion and Bliss that are in the, Now

this is, what’s happening in the N-O-W! With their natural habitats being, destroyed, they, MIGRATE to where the foods are, where WE live! Photo from online

Like the Homo sapiens Who’d Stumbled to Walk Upright

Headed into that Cold Mist

He Will be Digging, and Hoarding

Whether it There’s the Antidote Hidden in the Ground

The Parrot that Showed Off its Crown

Using that High-Pitched Voice Like an Objector

Complained in the Anguish Upset of that Young Child

Not Toward the Conditions of Global Warming Nor the Virtues

He’d, Eventually Adapted to the Concrete Jungle

As the Winter Days Sun Made its Wing Flutters Halted

bringing the hunting season to us all-year-round…photo from online

A Lesson to Demonstrate to the World Begins

He’d Pried Open that Garbage Can Covered in Dews

Picked out the Crusts of Toasts, the Peels, and Chicken Bones

Made a Jambalaya of Dawn that’s

Lost its Persistence, but Still with Enough to Withstand the Wears & Tears

And so, this, is what wildlife looked like, living in the, cities, they ADAPT themselves, to eating things that aren’t their, original “regular” diets, because we humans, are invading into their, natural habitats, forcing them, to ADAPT to our ways of, life!
