On how Lithuania had, severed the country’s diplomatic ties with Taiwan, so they can set up better foreign relations with China, and now, it regretted it…off of the Front Page Sections, translated…
Five years ago, this country used the name of “Taiwan”, set up the very FIRST European representative office in Lithuania, and the government celebrated this occasion as a major breakthrough of foreign affairs. But, the PM of Lithuania, Ruginienė sighed about it of late, stated that Lithuania had put itself “in front of a full-speed train”, and it’d ended up, losing. She’d stated, that as the other countries are, selecting carefully the “name” of the “Representative Offices of Taipei”, Lithuania used a more radical approach, and in the end, “nobody admired us”.
how these, blabbermouth politicians got their countries in trouble, off of YouTube, from a SHORT nineteen hours ago!
The reality is, Lithuania is now, paying, a very high, cost. Not only did Beijing downgrade foreign relations with Lithuania to “representative”, deporting the Lithuanian ambassador to China, halting the services of the Lithuanian Consulate; it’d taken the country off of the tariff free list, causing the cargos from Lithuania to not export to China. China also pressured enterprises in Europe, that if their products have parts from Lithuania, the items will be prohibited from being sold in China; and China also sanctioned the banking industry of Lithuania as well. Ruginienė said “we’d been hit by a train”, is from the heart for sure.
The aftermath impact of Taiwan’s setting up the representative offices in Lithuania, other than damaging the country’s economy, it also sparked up the debates of “economic survival” versus “moral value” which one is more important. And, ultimately, it’d caused the Taiwanese-favored party in power to step down, and, although the party in control of Lithuania is working to better the relations with Beijing, but it’s still hesitant in whether or not to change the “Taiwanese Representative Office” to popular consent of “Taipei Representative Office”.
Taiwan had caused the situation in Lithuania partially. Back when the Taiwanese government promised to invest more than ten billion U.S. dollars in Lithuania, but the actual amount the country invested is way less, which falls short of the expectations of the citizens of Lithuania. The DDP wants to change all the offices names from Taipei to Taiwan, but from this particular example, perhaps “Taipei” is what will, survive in foreign affairs, longer.
and this IS, how EASILY China gets, “upset”…photo from online

And so, this is, in the considerations of money, after all, China is, a HUGE dollar amount, with thirteen billion in the population (how HUGE is that consumer pool???), and, going up against China, is basically, SUICIDE, and yet, these leaders of the countries get manipulated too easily, caved into public opinion, and this is how they land their countries’ asses in, hell!
Although Taiwan isn’t directly involved in this “case”, it’s the CAUSE of the disputes, and, so, the DDP government should take responsibility, after all, would Lithuania speak up for Taiwan, IF it didn’t say that it will set up a representative office (and they don’t call it “Consulate”!) using Taiwan, instead of the Republic of China, and that’s what got Lithuania SCREWED. And China too, was at fault, for being so narrow-minded, but the DDP asked for this shit, with their promoting Taiwanese independence. So, all sides are responsible for this, “fallout”.
