The New York Times reported, that the messages that U.S. President Trump sent to the PM of Norway, Støre, claiming that one of the reasons why he was going ahead with purchasing of Greenland was because he didn’t win the Nobel Peace Prize.

The three European government official who’d confirmed this stated on the 19^th, that the PM of Norway, Støre received the text from Trump, the American press reporter from Public Television had made the exclusive report.  Trump told Støre, since he didn’t get the Nobel Peace, “I have no obligations to rule based off of peace”; the news report also stated that Denmark can’t protect Greenland from the threats of China and Russia, and further questioned the autonomy of Denmark ruling Greenland.

The Public Television reporter, Schifrin report posted on X, that this message had been forwarded by the chief of staff of National Security of the WH to multiple American ambassadors stationed in Europe.

Schiffrin claimed that the retrieved message mentioned “Trump privately messaged Prime Minister Støre, requested the message to be delivered to the Norwegian government.”  The message said, “due to your country’s not awarded me with the Nobel Peace Prize, despite how I’d managed to stop eight wars, I no longer feel obligated to consider the angle of peace”, claimed that peace will continue to guide his own behaviors, but now, he can also consider what’s in the best interests of the United States.

He’d continued criticizing, “Denmark can’t protect the territory from threats from China or Russia,” why is Greenland an autonomous territory of Denmark?  There’s nothing written down of this, only because a boat landed there hundreds of, years ago, we have ships that landed there too.”

Trump said, since N.A.T.O. started up, he’d done more than anybody else had for N.A.T.O., and now, N.A.T.O. needs to do something for the U.S. too.

The American secretary of treasury, Bessent stated on the 18^th, that Europe’s being too weak, forces the U.S. to take control over Greenland, to maintain the political stability of the world.  At the same time, some of the senators sent out the warnings of Trump government’s attempting to take over the Arctic Territory that’s Denmark’s territory.

Reuter reported, Bessent had gone on a political commentary show on NBC, stated that in the geopolitical power struggle between U.S. and China and Russia, obtaining the territorial rights to Greenland is absolutely necessary, “We are the strongest country in the world, the Europeans are too weak, and America is now showing its, powers.”  The European leaders will ultimately agree to U.S. taking over Greenland, “I’m certain the countries in Europe will see, that this is the best result for Greenland, for Europe, and for the United States ultimately.”

Bessent said, he’d not discussed if any emergency powers should be used, to take over Greenland using military means.

But the Republican Senator, Paul said, this belief is “absurd”, because Greenland is NOT in a state of any emergency, “are we announcing a state of emergency, to prevent a state of, emergency?”

Paul is not the only Republican who openly questioned Trump, Turner from Ohio said that this tariff tactic may impact the alliance of U.S. and other countries of N.A.T.O.; Cornyn from Texas however, interpreted Trump’s tariff threats as a negotiating tactic.

Van Hollen, the Senator from Maryland said, Trump only cares about the rich natural resources in Iceland, that it’s not related to any matters of national security, “as the president claims that it’s a matter of national security, he’s lying to the people of the United States.”

The empires, they never, admit to their own, greed, and are always, in need of that noble mirror, to see their own, reflections.  Edward Said once stated, that every empire would proclaim itself as different from all the empires in history within itself, and to the outside, world.  This is not just the rationalized self-defense, but the core criteria for how power can function, well.  Only by believing that the self is, unique, the empires can then, turn the justifications of how it wants to operate that doesn’t fit to the moral standards, and turn it into necessary and justified, actions.

For long, the language of the American empire circled around democracy and, human rights.  The military interventions described into reform and protecting the masses, the economic expansions became liberating of the oppressed and restructuring of a society.  From the Marshall Plan to the war in Iraq, this mean of storytelling worked repeated through the decades, and it’d become, internalized into political knowledge bases, and moral instincts; until Trump came to office, the formulation of the ideology started becoming, clearer.

Trump doesn’t deny the logic behind imperialism, but he’d, adjusted the angle of how the narrative is told, and the audience to which the narrative is, directed, towards.  He’d claimed, that the U.S. will no longer shoulder the establishments of democracies out of the U.S., he’d exited out of the Trans-Pacific Partnership, questioned N.A.T.O., and used “America first” to redefine the boundaries that focused on the interests of the U.S..  And still, this didn’t get U.S. out of what Said described as the imperialistic framework, instead, it’d reiterated the settings of imperialism, the myths of expansion out of the country’s own territorial borders.

In Trump’s beliefs, the U.S. will no longer be the savior of other countries, but a victim that needs to be, liberated.  He’d described the U.S. as a victim, bound by unfair trade, weighed down by multilateralism; from his trade war that he’d started with China, to renegotiating the American-Canada-Mexican agreement, the powerful is repackaged into the victim, with the justifications of the sources, transferring too.  The targets of reform and liberation is no longer foreign societies, but the laborers of the rust belt, and “the forgotten populations”.

Trump had successfully molded the policies into a bureaucratic movement against the elites that’s now gone global.  Using the excuses of preventing the illegal substances getting trafficked in, he’d painted Venezuela as a safe haven for the traffickers, justifying the invasions into Venezuela as the necessary “evil” to protect American citizens; that arresting Maduro isn’t out of conquest or plunder, but the necessary means of combatting crimes, to protect the citizens of the U.S., and to restore order.  This showed of how flexible the usages of language of imperialism, is, even if the core target involved the change of power or to gain geographical control of a foreign country, obtaining the power still needed that moral justification to provide the justifications thereof.

Said’s observations are extremely apparent in this.  No matter how the forms changed, it is intolerable, that power gets explained as what it is, greed.  The empires needed to believe that there’s the justification for the righteousness of their behaviors, even if this “correctness” is built upon the selective interpretations of reality.  The words can be manipulated, but the structures of power is still, exactly, the, same.

The first step to understanding imperialism, is to dissolve its narrative of it being unique.  This isn’t the negating of all motives to obtain power, but as a reminder to us, when power starts believing that it has the justifications to be more than it actually, is, that its own actions, don’t need to get evaluated by the moral standards that had been accepted by what others are judged, by, the dangers are already, forming into, shape.

Trump’s America is an example; showing how “justifications of imperialism” can continue to maintain its working structures even if the policies are set against it.  From the trade wars, to the military threats, from the economic sanctions, to the political power transitioning, every time that the power gets extended, there’s that rationalization of the actions being done as, morally correct; the packaging of power can change, but, the justifications of obtaining these powers stay, the exact, same.

As an observer, a participant, our most important missions is to keep our heads, to NOT get confused by the myths of uniqueness that our governments are feeding to us.  The reflections of imperialism will always show how they want the outside world to see them, but what we see, may not be, real.

The Anti-Ice Protests Recurring, The Washington Post: the Pentagon is Planning on Sending the Militia to Minnesota to Maintain the Peace

The Washington Post on the 18^th, quoted several anonymous U.S. officials that the Pentagon had already ordered about 1,500 active paratroopers ready to get deployed to Minnesota, to prevent the escalation of violence in the state.

The paratroopers who are ready to duty are from the two units in Alaska, excellent in combat in cold weather.  The temperature of largest city in Minnesota, Minneapolis had dropped to twenty below on the seventeenth.  ABC also reported, that the off-duty officers are immediately called back to the military, to respond to the deployment orders.

Based off of the military, this was for the “careful planning”.  With nobody knows, whether or not the military will get, deployed to Minnesota or not, the spokesperson of the Pentagon had yet to confirm or deny this.

Due to the anti-immigrations raids by ICE in Minnesota, with the thirty-seven-year-old woman, Good getting gunned down by an ICE agent, causing the rising tension of the city, with the continued protests across the city.

The anti-ICE protesters protested using banners and mottos outside the city government on the 17^th, demanding that ICE get out of the city, there were about ten extreme right members who were there, who were pushed and shoved by the protesting citizens, and hit with the water balloons.  There were the scattered physical violence, but no serious violent behaviors from the public, the police had kept the two sides separate too.

Trump stated on the 15^th, that if the state government of Minnesota couldn’t keep the protesters from attacking ICE agents, he will use the insurrection act to deploy active members of the military, and on the 16^th, he’d stated that there’s not yet the justifications for it, but he will deploy the military if he has to.

The law authorizes the U.S. president to deploy the militia, to deploy the current members of the military to respond to riots, which is used as the last resort when the local law enforcement authorities could no longer keep the peace and maintain order.  The last time the insurrection act had been implemented was in 1992, when the first Bush president tried to contain the riot in Los Angeles.

On the seventeenth, the officials in Minnesota announced, that the station National Guards are “ready for action”, based off of the government, Walz’s directions, but had yet to be deployed onto the streets, these National Guards are ready to keep the public peace, protect the lives of citizens, protect the assets, and defend the rights of those who are protesting peacefully.

Trump Enforces Eight N.A.T.O. Countries Ten-Percent Tariff Rates, the E.U. Lashed Back Toward the United Staes, Vowed to Work in Alliance, to Protect the Right of Autonomous Governments

On the 17^th, the American president Trump announced, that because eight European countries including Denmark are in opposition of U.S. takeover of Greenland, starting in February, the U.S. will be levying a ten-percent tariff rate on good imported from these eight European nations; if by June First, U.S. still can’t “annex Greenland altogether”, then the tariff will get increased to twenty-five-percent.

The eight countries named include: Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Finland, all of which are N.A.T.O. member countries.

The Tensions Between U.S. & Europe Escalates Quickly

Trump’s declaration caused the tensions between U.S. and its European allies to heighten immediately; the European leaders vowed to work together.  The chairperson of E.U., von der Leyen and the president of the European Council, Costa  issued a joint statement, “the tariffs will greatly damage the transatlantic agreement pact, and it may cause a vicious cycle that is dangerous.  Europe will work as one, to mediate to combat the tariffs of the United States, we will do all we can, to protect our autonomy”.  The eight countries on the 18^th issued a joint statement, stressing that they are with Denmark and the people of Greenland, and are willing to communicate on the forefront of keeping the territories complete, “We will assist our own responses, to work hardest to protect our own self-governance”.

EU is the largest trade partner of the U.S. and the biggest source of import.  Last year, Trump struck a deal with Von Der Leyen, setting the tariff rate for E.U. at fifteen percent; U.S. also reached a deal agreement with Great Britain, at the rate of ten-percent.  The New York Times report, that Trump’s stacking the increased rate onto the original rate of tariff on the good imported from European countries.

The United Press stated, that Trump is using the tariffs as his leverage, forcing the European countries to negotiate with the U.S. on the status of Greenland, that this will cause huge perils for the relationships between Europe and the U.S., any form of direct confrontations, may destroy the stability, the security that N.A.T.O. has kept in the Atlantic region for seventy years on end.

Trump posted his decision on the add-on of the tariffs for the European countries on his social media platform, he’d also added, “despite we’d done so much for Denmark and all these countries, U.S. is still willing to directly negotiate with them, because they put U.S. in huge risks.”

Trump stated, that Denmark and the allies of Europe had held united military drills close to Greenland recently, the U.S., to “protect global peace and security, had quickly terminated such a dangerous action, we need to enforce the forceful means.”

Greenland is an autonomous territory of Denmark’s, Trump believes that annexing Greenland is vital to the national security of the United States, he has his eyes set on the rich mineral resources that the country has, pointed to how China and Russia are increasing their activities in the Arctic Circle, he has the ulterior motives to obtain the key mineral resources that the region is rich in.

In the past few weeks, the Trump government became more and more forthcoming about annexing Greenland, claimed that the island should be placed under the jurisdiction of the United States, accusing Denmark and its European allies can’t keep Greenland and the Arctic Circle safe.  During the past few weeks, Trump is becoming more and more straightforward in his acquisition of Greenland as U.S. territory, accusing Denmark and other countries in Europe for not being able to keep the peace and to protect the Arctic Circle and Greenland.  Denmark and other European countries held the joint military drills in Greenland, and this apparently had angered Trump, which was what made Trump retaliate by adding on to the tariff rates.

The head of foreign affairs of Denmark, on Trump’s increasing the tariff rates, stated, that just this week, Danish official had held the “constructive discussions” with the higher up government officials in the U.S., that they were “shocked” over Trump’s actions.

Macron, the French president stated, “we will NOT be threatened; whether it be on the matter of Ukraine, Greenland, or anywhere else in the world”.  He’d said, “we will not accept the threats of tariffs from the U.S., all citizen of Europe will band together in response.”  The PM of Great Britain, Starmer said, “because the member countries of N.A.T.O. are seeking protection for all member countries, it’s a mistake that Trump is using this to increase our tariffs.”

And so, this just showed how BULLISH Trump truly, is, he’d thrown away the alliances of the U.S. with countries in Europe, tossed the relationship of U.S. with the members of N.A.T.O. and, demanded that the world CONCEDES to his demands, or else, and, we’re still ENABLING this BULLSHIT, because all our hands are tied, and we can’t, fight back alone on our own, but, IF the countries band together (like the countries in Europe are slowly doing right now!), then, let’s see HOW U.S. will, stand ALONE in the world, when all other countries in the world stop trading, interacting with it.  I’m sure, that the DIVIDED STATES of TRUMP (no longer the United States of American now!) will SURVIVE!
