From the Case of the Young Boy, Kai-Kai’s Being Abused to Death, the Evaluations of the Net of Social Security, Scholars: the Resources Need to Get Consolidated in the Local Communities

The problem is NOT just the wages, and let’s face it, these hard working men and women are still, underpaid, with one too many cases per social worker assigned, and they work in a, dangerous environment, putting their lives in danger of being, attacked when they make the home visits to the cases, and, until all of these can be, improved, you can’t possibly keep these hard-working men and women, enthusiastic about working to help better this society…off of the Front Page Sections, translated…

The shocking case of the young boy, Kai-Kai being abused to death by his nanny, showed how the net of social security lacked the consolidations. The protections department of Department of Health Welfare & Sanitations hosted  the “2024 Practicality Protections Forum”, the honorary professor of social work from N.T.U, Cheng stated, that the department should readjust the means of evaluation for nannies for hire, the systems of placement, and improve the lacking in human resources of social workers, which causes the cases to quickly get worked through, but not thoroughly enough, that the cases get terminated way too soon before everything had been made sure of.

Cheng said, that the frontline members of child protection cases, to protect every single child in need, they’re, assigned too many cases per worker, but, due to the limitations of shortages of personnel, there is a low rate of the cases making it to court.

The net of social security stressed, “one social worker primarily responsible for the case, with all the assistance the social workers needed to get the case set up and evaluated completely”, but, there’s no specification of which kinds of cases go to which social worker.

Cheng used the example, that there were, the expectations of the units for the social workers to visit the cases which suicide concerns on their own, but, as the social workers visited the cases, the social workers only cared if the individuals showed any signs of suicide, and NOT showed any concerns for the other risk factors such a poverty, family troubles that may, cause the person to have suicidal tendencies, suggesting to the Department of Sanitation & Social Welfare to set up the clarified units which will oversee the needs of these cases, and set up the means of working together with the facilities.

The professor of social work from N.T.U., Liu told, that there’s massive workload for the public social work departments, new cases keep on coming in, that the social welfare departments should work with the local resources, after the government agencies’ work is done, to have the private sector continue to offer the services needed.

The Protective Office of the Department of Sanitation Welfare stated that there are not enough units of agencies of domestic violence prevention in the various localities, that this year, there will be adjustments made, to enforce the provision of services, and zoom in on the cooperative means of the cases to evaluate, to strengthen the connections of service provision needed, and will strengthen the social security net on a local level, to increase the local agencies’ human resources, and the departments as well.

So, this is how, after the cases that should’ve been taken care of weren’t, and people died left and right, that the social services came up with this plan, to offer the necessary services, but, it still doesn’t get the real problems of not enough personnel, not enough social workers in the systems, because, that, is where the problem is, these agencies being, short-staffed, with the work of social work being, very difficult, and the pays aren’t, that good, so, how are you, going to, keep these needed professionals, to continue working, and the systems still, crumbles, because this is still a top-down problem.  I think, first, there’s the need to FIX the problem of low wages, to attract new blood who are with the mindset of making a living helping others, then, the government should improve the benefits, offer the needed therapies for these, professionals, because they will need that, working these cases that are, awful, and then, let’s see, if these social workers will stay in their, jobs…
