The Eye-Gouging Perpetrator Didn’t Get a Reduced Sentence Due to His Mental Illness, Still Sentenced to Five Years

Mental incapacitation, temporary insanity did NOT work, not this time!!!  Off of the Front Page Sections, translated…

The Locals are Worried, that “He May be Back Here Way Too Soon”, the Female Store Clerk is still in Recovery, the Families Told the Press, “No Comment”

The shocking eye-gouging case last year in Pingdong, the man, Yang was upset that the store clerk, Pan reminded him to mask up, he’d strangled her neck, and, gouged her eyes out with his bare hands; two months before this, Yang had hacked another woman to injury, the D.A. charged him on attempted murder and aggravated assault.  The Pingdong District Court found Yang guilty of assault and attempted murder, sentenced him to five years yesterday, this can still be appealed.

On September 26th of last, Yang was displeased at how Pan the store clerk reminded him to mask up, he’d assaulted her, causing her to sustain a broken nose, fracture in her left eye socket, and damages on her eyes.  After the incident, the police found that on June 30th of last, Yang used a butcher’s knife to attack and elderly woman, the victim sustained injuries on her left neck, her abdomen, it was the workers in the shop who stepped up, to stop Yang from murdering the elder.

Because Yang was diagnosed with schizophrenia, he was forced into treatment for over a month for hacking the elderly woman, after the hospital assessed him as stabilized, they’d released him, and in September, he’d committed the eye gouging case.

The Collectivist Court believed, that Yang hacking the woman down, after he was subdued, he’d immediately stopped attacking, and, didn’t chase after the victim as she’d left, and, sentenced him on physical assault charges for a year two months; and the attack on the female clerk was an attempted aggravated assault, he got sentenced to four years for that.  He is to serve a total of five years.

And, although Yang was a schizophrenic, but the courts didn’t find that he couldn’t control his actions due to his conditions to the point that he couldn’t tell his behaviors from right or wrong, not given him a reduced sentence.

As the local villagers heard the verdict, they’d all claimed that it was too lenient, worried that Yang “may return way too soon”.  After the incidents, the families moved away, and the elderly father couldn’t adapt to the new place, moved back to the countryside, and lived alone, and had gotten lost many times as he rode out on his scooter.

The Collectivist Courts told, that the crimes of attempts, fitted to the reductions of sentencing, that attempted aggravated assault is anywhere from two and a half years to six years in prison, and, considering all the facts, four years is, fitting.

After Pan’s release from the hospitals, she’d moved into a relative’s home to recover, she’s now in stable condition, the county social services department will conduct a third counseling for her.  The families refused to express anything toward the verdict.  The owner of the super convenience shop told, that Yang still in insured by the store, that she is still an employee, hoped that she would come back to work after she’d made her recovery.

And so, this psycho did NOT get that reduction of his sentence, due to his mental conditions, and he shouldn’t, because, what he did was awful, it’d caused the victim to lose her eye sight, and on top of that, he’d lost control, and assaulted an elder with a butcher’s knife, and having someone like that living in the neighborhood is like having a bomb, waiting to explode at any given time, and if this man gets a reduced sentence, then, the entire neighborhood would be, unsafe.

After the Psychologically Ill Man Hacked His Own Mother to Death, He’d Cried Out, “Someone, HELP My MOTHER!”

The man’s mental illness left untreated, that’s, caused his own mother to be, MURDERED by him!  Off of the Front Page Sections, translated…

There was the tragic news of a mother being murdered by her son in Taoyuan yesterday, the man, Tseng, was suspected of murdering his own mother, Chen, with a butcher’s knife, with whom he lives with.  The police, fire department broke down the door, found Chen lying in a pool of blood, already dead, Tseng was covered in blood, and was found, hiding on the balcony, in a daze.  The police found the records of Tseng having been treated for a mental condition, but not registered as a mentally ill person, as they took him to the hospital under police custody, they’d charged him with murder, after the D.A. reviewed the facts, asked the courts to keep him in custody, the courts signed off on it.

The police found, that the thirty-one-year-old Tseng lives on the fourth floor of an apartment with his mother in Pingzhen District, Chen took care of Tseng by herself.  At around six in the morning, the neighbor, Liao heard Chen called for help and immediately called the police, and Tseng started crying shortly thereafter, “help, save my mother!”; as the police and firefighters arrived the door was locked from the inside, they broke it down, entered into the living room, where they saw a huge pool of blood, with Tseng’s mother lying in it, no sign of life, and there was a butcher’s knife next to her body, that was suspected of being used as a murder weapon.

The police found the injuries are around the head, and the neck on the victim’s body, they’d suspected, that the victim was hit by the butcher’s knife on the head, then, hacked to death.  They’d followed the blood trails, and found Tseng hidden out on the balcony without the railings, he’d sat, stood, and attempted to leap off.  The police immediately arrested him, found him to have lacerations on his head, took him to the hospital under custody, where he’d received twenty plus stitches, he’s not in life-threatening danger.

Based off of understanding, Tseng is diagnosed with a psychiatric disorder, suffers severely from auditory hallucinations, delusions, also severe depression, early yesterday morning, he’d heard a voice telling him to kill his mother and himself, wanted him to “murder her”, and saw a shadow that attached to his mother, which caused him to attack his own mother and himself; Tseng’s father already died, he and his mother were all each other had, and, the relatives knew that he’d had multiple records of hospitalizations, but he’d not taken his medications like he was supposed to.

And so, this, is what you get, when you have schizophrenia, left, untreated, you will have the hallucinations, the delusions, and this man probably won’t get charged with murdering his own mother and get punished for the crime, because of his mental disorder.

The Judges Should Stop Being So Merciful

These court judges need to come back down to earth, instead of, living on those planets of, ILLUSIONS and DELUSIONS!  Off of the Front Page Sections, translated…

The man who’d murdered his own mother after getting high started up the discussion of the lacking in the security net in the society, it’d, made everybody fearful.

Last semester in “society’s principle” course the students asked me, what is the security nets in the society?  I’d explained, that it’s a concept, like how the acrobats of a circus, with the nets underneath the platform to prevent them from falling to their deaths.  Concretely speaking, it’s the summation of the social support systems, including the neighbors showing care and attention toward everybody locally, the police and residents working hand-in-hand, offering assistance to those in need as a society, medical care, it also include the combination of education, alongside the workings of the justice systems as well.

I’d asked the students, “What do you think the biggest hole in this net of security of the society?”, my students answered, “the justice system”.  I’d asked why?  He’d replied, “justice isn’t doing what it’s supposed to”, there is also another student who’d stated, “a city full of psychos!”, and another chimed in, “all with the chances of being reformed!”  And everybody in the class burst out laughing.  The students’ jokes reflected on how helpless the citizens felt toward how the term, “schizophrenia” and “ability to be reformed” being over used.

On the reality side of things, an eye for an eye, it didn’t, fit our times, and even If the judges have a different opinion, they’d still needed to based their rulings off of the law.  The judges should be tough, instead of kind and merciful, or too lenient and too gentle.

“The Security Net of the Society” shouldn’t just be a noun, we the people aren’t asking for much, just to be free from threats.  This sort of a minute need, does, our government see?

Of course N-O-T, because, take a look at how many murderers got away from the DEATH penalty on reason of insanity, and, these days, if you murdered someone in cold blood, so long as you plead insane, and get tested and if your results coincides with the symptoms of bipolar, depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, you wouldn’t get sentenced to DEATH, instead, you would have your life in prison, with chance in parole say, in, twenty, twenty-five years, so, how’s that justice, huh?  It’s not!  But hey, that, is how the government works right now, and, there’s, NOTHING we can do, to change it!

A Man Raped a Girl and Forced Her to Drop the Charges, Strangled Her to Death, He’s Escaped the Death Penalty

Justice is still FAR from being served here, from the Front Page Sections, translated…

A man, Hsu was suspected of raping his live-in girlfriend’s daughter, when he was unsuccessful in begging and pleading for her to drop the charges against him, he’d broken through the door, and choked her to death, then, he’d staged the scene for it to look like as if she’d committed suicide.  Hsu was twice sentenced for death for murders, and the High Courts, on the first retrial, gave him life time in prison, and stripped him of his public office jobs forever.  The case can still be appealed.

The courts that decided on the first retrial believed that after the adolescent filed a suit toward Hsu still lived in his place for a couple of days, and he’d given her his ATM card so she could make withdrawals from the ATM machines; Hsu had lived with the youth for over ten years, treated her as his own child, and because he had served in prison from before, he’d feared it, had once begged and pleaded with her to not file charges against him, which clearly showed that there are two distinctive personalities that he has, and it couldn’t be proven that he couldn’t be reformed, and so, that, was why the death sentence was not issued.

Hsu (age 58) was accused of starting in 2006, when the young woman was in her first year of middle school, used the twice a week frequency, to rape his live-in girlfriend’s daughter; in 2010, his live-in girlfriend killed herself by hanging, and the daughter couldn’t put up with his sexual abuse any longer, and moved in with her birth father, and sued Hsu for the five years of nonstop rape of her.  Hsu was displeased at how she’d sued him, he’d strangled her to death, and used the brake wires from his motorcycle, wrapped it around her neck, to make it look like she’d committed suicide from hanging herself.

And this man still didn’t get the DEATH penalty, simply because he’d shown that FAKED sense of remorse, and we ALL know how you CAN fake it too, don’t we???  Now, this man will forever BE haunted by the guilty conscience of having raped and/or sexually molested his live-in girlfriend’s daughter.
