As the verdicts are being read, they’re now, finally crying, out of remorse, maybe??? From the Front Page Sections, translated…
The Ru-Yuen Ming Gong sponsor, Chiao-Ming Chen was sentenced to thirteen years in prison, for the abuse and torture death of the high schooler, Jeng yesterday, the District Court in Changhwa found her guilty of damages and torturing someone to death, gave her thirteen years; tears fell from her face, as she fought for the right to have a bail set, but the Collective Courts believed that she’s at flight risk, gave her two months in custody, before she was supposed to serve her real jail term; Jeng’s mother got four and a half years.
The accomplices, Hsu and her husband, had three years ten months and four year’s sentence, Lin got two years, Yo received ten, and, Wang and Wu who were only charged with common damages received eight months; and Yo and Wu were allowed to pay their ways out of serving time.
The verdict pointed out, that the last year high school student, Jeng went to Chiao-Ming Chen’s family property, “Silent Garden”, to attend gatherings of Ru-Yuen Ming Gong. Last year on the weekend of May 18th, both he and his classmates were told to go to school to make up for their sessions, that same night, Chiao-Ming Chen learned that he’d gotten out of the house one hour earlier than he usually does, felt that something was up, she’d told Jeng’s mother, along with Liu, to discipline him.
Jeng was grilled by the group on his whereabouts of that entire day, because he’d missed some details, he was beaten, with a pipe, thin bamboo, both his wrists and ankles were tied up, kept locked up in a small room; the very next day, he was tortured and forced to write out his confessions, that, was when he’d falsified that he’d joined a gang and used drugs, and was kept locked up and tortured for seventeen days, and died, on the way to the hospital.
Last December, the D.A. persecuted Chiao-Ming Chen and seven others, and, Chiao-Ming Chen who was in police custody since wore a face mask as she’d made her appearance in court, cried and told that she’s not a bad persons, that she’d loved the deceased a lot, that she was sorry for what she’d done, and she couldn’t understand why she was placed under police custody for so long, and stressed how she wasn’t going to escape; the judge mandated her continued incarceration; the couple, the Lius wouldn’t have comments.
“The sentence was too light, how can we accept it?”, Jeng’s older sister stated, she thought, that Chiao-Ming Chen would get over twenty years, and it was only thirteen, and, even the core members, Hsu was made to serve a lighter sentence than Jeng’s mother. Jeng’s father said, this verdict had only saddened him more, and, he still couldn’t let go of how much his son suffered before he’d died.
And so, the justice still wasn’t served here, you’d tortured someone, murdered the person in cold blood, and, you’d only received 13 years in prison? Where is the justice in that? There IS none!!!
