Commentaries on how too much power given to the political party in power right now, the DDP, from the Front Page Sections, translated…
The Examination Department posted its “Human Rights Committee Advocates” legislation drafts, and the head recruit of DDP, Ke was angered by the draft of the legislature, believed that it’s the minority making a huge mess for the majority of the legislators. Ke’s reason being: the ten members of the human rights committee are all members of the legislature, there’s no need to add a new amendment for these ten people, that their duties and rights should be written in the general legislations.
And, whether or not Ke has the right to object to this, he had a right reason, to go off. The human rights committee is NOT some complex, or larger-scale system, it only consisted of just TEN members, who are a part of the examination committee, but they’d, decided, to give themselves a new set of rules to abide by, do they want to make more trouble for the legislature?
Yet, the examination department’s appetite was too huge, and, they’d asked the committee for the right to interpret the legislation as they wish to, and, expected the government facilities, the local branches to explain what they checked for everything that they’re, checking. The former was criticized by the legislative department as “finding a way around the written law”; the latter, breaching of the five basic rights. Including how this rule would allow the government sectors to “dip” their hands into the privately owned facilities, this left many doubts.
Simply stated, all of these committee members, used the claims of “human rights”, believed that they have the power to go and check any and everything, that nobody can object, can stop them from doing so. The problem being, Taiwan is a country of law, and, we already, have separate laws for everything regarding the rights of the citizens already, do we, really, need another “emperor” unit to oversee the areas of human rights? If this “emperor” unit believed itself to be the supreme law of the land, then, the human rights of the Taiwanese citizens may be damaged even more, instead of, being protected.
And now, the systems operating independently of party politics are reduced, and lacked the faith from the general public, we do NOT need one more beast of power, wearing the mask of “human rights”.
And so, this, is how the DDP is using ITS power now, to dip into everything, in the name of the citizens’ rights, they’re actually, enslaving the people here, there’s now, only the GREEN (DDP-supportive) T.V. stations on T.V., and the newspaper media would be next, and, all of those papers that don’t agree with the legislations passed by the DDP, will get, taken off the store shelves too I’m sure, and, this is WAY, WAY, WAY worse than COMMUNIST rule! And the people can’t do ANYTHING about it…
