The Social Workers’ Understanding of Multiple Cultures is WAY More Important than Their Bilingual Abilities to Speak & Understand English

Written by a part-time social work associate professor, on how UNREALISTIC the policy of social workers being certified in the English language truly, is, off of the Front Page Sections, translated…

On the trends of globalization, and internationalization trend, to up the competitive edge internationally, the government is reinforcing the means of dual-language education, and the testing department, in correspondence with the policies, is planning on setting up the requirements to have the English language standardize tests into the requirements, as this news came, the social work realm started ranting, everybody thought this was an unreasonable rule, that it’s, incomprehensible why the government was, mandating this.  In the realms of social worker, being culturally educated is way more important than being able to speak English fluently, the testing department shouldn’t set the standardized qualifying rules for social workers to be fluent in English, to pass the English standardized tests.

Taiwan is a multicultural community, with the foreign spouses closing in to 540,000 and those who speak Chinese close to 580,000, and this data still excludes all the foreign workers, along with the children from the foreign spouses, but, it’d been proven, that there were the problems of cross-generation upbringing, and the employment issues from the natives and the migrant families, and the rates of domestic violence, child welfare and protection are a slight bit higher in ratio too.  The population of women who are in the special conditions is higher than the other groups’, especially in recent years, the single parent families, and the cases of families on the lower end of the economic spectrum rising up fast; while the structures of social work had been providing the welfare programs to the general public, that instead, these help programs should be tailored to the varied needs of each individual and individual families specifically, and so, there’s, this necessity of the multicultural awareness and understanding.

Taiwan is now, impacted by the reduction of birthrate, the aging population, and in the implementing of the long-term care program, the trained professional social workers are, absolutely, necessary, and, yet, there’s, a very strict qualification for the certification of becoming a social worker, with the forty-five professional credits in the studies, more than four hundred hours of internship in the facilities.  And now, for the sake of “globalization” the government had added the English language qualifications exams, ignoring the local voices, can it, really, resolve the issues, it’s, quite, doubtful.

The social problems that the social workers come face to face with, in order to understand the issues with each and every case, the primary way is to get to know the values, the life experiences of the cases who are soliciting the assistance, the cultural backgrounds of the various individuals, then, they are able to, provide, the best needed, assistance to them, and so, getting these social workers trained on the multiple cultural awareness is what’s most important in the now.  Adding in the English language qualification exams, this will only drive the test takers to the cram schools, and, even if the test takers pass the exams, will they be helpful enough to the cases?  I truly suggest, that instead, “adding the language courses for the natives and the newly migrants”, to enforce the communication means of the social workers with their cases, to bring the language to everyday living, to pull the social workers closer to the cases they’re assigned to, that, is what’s, more, practical.

is way more important than…

And this still just showed, how UNREALISTIC the policies those lawmakers came up with, that are being signed into legislation are, unrealistic, and they’re making the social worker majors, to add on, another fifty, sixty, even seventy more hours of English courses so they can pass their English certification exams, and the writer is absolutely RIGHT, on the fact, that the government should SLASH this rule of English language evaluations, and maybe, focus on the languages of the foreign care workers, the migrant workers’ home language, that way, these social workers will be able to help assist these cases even better!

The Prevalence of Mass Shootings in U.S. the Resolve of Guns without Solutions in America

Yeah, uh, BLAME it on the SECOND AMENDMENT, and all you, NRA fanatics here!!!  Off of the Front Page Section, translated…

On the twenty-second, a large-scale massacre happened at a Colorado supermarket, resulting in at least TEN dead, this was the SEVENTH larger-scaled massacre so far this year.

This was also, the SECOND large scale massacre that got the world’s attention in America in a week’s time.  The massage parlor shootings on the sixteenth of this month in Atlanta, Georgia by the suspect, Long, of the eight who’d died, six were, Asian females, and this had caused the protests to happen across America with the Asians in the community marching in protest against hate crimes.

Based off of USA Today, Associated Press, and the data collected by Northeastern University, the supermarket shooting in Colorado is the SEVENTH large scale massacre since the start of this year.  The database defined the massacres as other than the shooters, there are more than four deaths.

CNN reported, in this past week, there were large-scale massacres every single day, other than the eight deaths in the Atlanta shooting, Stockton, California, Houston and Dallas of Texas, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in the past few days, there were the massacres of more than five deaths ongoing, thankfully, those who were shot were mostly, not fatally wounded, only two had died.

In the past decade, within a hundred kilometers radius, of where the massacres at Round Rock, Colorado, there were the multiple shocking murders locally.  Back in 1999, Columbine High School which was only fifty-kilometers away, had the massacres of a total of fifteen fatalities, and twenty-four wounded including the two shooters.  In 2012, a man took a gun into the theatre as the Batman Premiere was showing, and started shooting at random, causing twelve deaths, seventy wounded.

“We the People”…WANT GUNS!!!

In America, gun is too easily accessible, this is one of the primary reasons for these larger-scale massacres.  The Washington Post reported, the shooter, Long of the Atlanta Massage Parlor massacre picked up a gun at the gun shop on the day he started on his shooting rampage, and, the background checks at the arms shop were only formalities, there’s no waiting to confirm if the licenses were valid, gun is given out by the store, and he took it, and headed straight to the massage parlor.

On the twenty-third, the Senate held an emergency hearting, discussing the two large-scale shootings that happened in the week, along with the matters of gun control.  The group that demanded a tougher law on gun ownership pointed out, that from 2009 to date there’d been, 246 cases of large-scale shootings, in just Colorado, on average, there are 805 people who’d died from gun violence per year.

And yet, the second amendment protected the rights of citizens from owning guns, and whenever the subject of gun control came up for discussion in the Congress, the Republicans who are in support of the Second Amendment Rights would fight it, even if the polls showed, that the supporters of both parties are onboard with the gun control laws now.

And so, this, became, a NATIONAL matter, and yeah, it is, the American citizens’ rights to OWN arms, sure, but, sometimes, guns are too easily got, you don’t even need to get thoroughly checked for any violent crimes records, you just need to get that license, which is bought with money, and you can, own one, and, you’re still, in support of your, SECOND Amendment rights?  Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for the “Stand-Your-Grounds” law, but, guns are too easily accessible in America, which is precisely WHY, mass shootings are happening all over the country right now.

Obstruction of Spousal Rights: the Harder the Individual Cheated, the More the Person’s Made to Pay in Civil Court

That ought to, TEACH you, mother FUCKING cheats, to BEHAVE your selves out there all right!  HARSHER punishment for infidelity here, protecting the rights of your spouses!!!  Off of the Front Page Sections, translated…

Last year, as the decriminalization of adultery was, signed into law, the payments in the civil courts suits became, the LAST line of defense for protecting spousal rights.  Recently, there was the famous married sports figure having been found with an unknown male out, and the rented stay of a member of the city representatives, the legal realms pointed out, that although there’s NO solid proof of adultery, but the behaviors had, breached the “rights of the spouses”  And, sorting through the related verdicts of the courts for the past two years, the more severe these breaches in spousal rights were, the amounts are higher, from thousands of dollars to millions of dollars.

In the past, on the matter of the couple’s handling cheating, because there’s a more severe mandate for what constitutes as “adultery”, so long as there are no solid evidence to prove that sexual intercourse took place, it would be, quite, difficult, for the charges of adultery to stick; as the decriminalization of adultery signed into law, the adulterers won’t get charged criminally, but, because of the civil laws protected the citizens, there are the clauses of the law, the party who was cheated on can seek out payment from the civil front.

The attorney, Wang stated, that the definition of “spousal rights” legally meant the rights protected by the law based off of ethics, of family; once one of the spouses crossed that line, then, the other party can sue the cheating party on the civil front for payment.

Based off of the verdict inquiry systems of the courts, in recent years, there was a wife who’d found her husband, flirting on LINE, his got sued, and the courts made him pay $70,000N.T.s; the wife found to have hugged and kissed a male coworker, the husband received the payments of $160,000N.T.s; the wife found the husband to have sexually illicit texts on LINE, with the photos, paid $200,000N.T.s; the husband cheated on the wife with a female employee for seven years, had twins with the female employees, the wife was paid over millions of dollars.

And this, is only, on the legal fronts, how about, the EMOTIONAL distress, the betrayals of the one getting cheated on, NO amount is, going to EVER, make UP for that, because the damage’s done already, and, there’s, just NO way that anybody, can help you make up for that, NOT even if this brand new “amendment” that enforces HARSHER punishments for the CHEATING parties, so this is just, a bullshitting law that THINKS that it can, protect spousal rights, but it can’t, not really!

To Resolve the Issues of Reduced Birthrates, from a Moral Standpoint

The government is now, offering, us, HARD-EARNED, dollars, to POP ‘em out, and yet, do we, want to???  I know I still, don’t and WON’T!  And the government’s, missed the BULL’S EYE on this one, off of the Front Page Sections, translated…

To help with the impacts of reduced birth rate, the Executive Department announced its, two-stage plans, to add more assistance money to reproduction of children, and the childcare programs.  It’s just, think on it hard, in recent years, the government thought really hard, spent a lot of its budgets, in making up for the assistance money for birth, setting up the public daycare programs, and yet, there’s, almost, NO noticeable, results; the younger generations, still aren’t, “popping” out the children fast enough.

It’s nothing easy, raising up the young, not just the economic burdens from raising the children, this is not just for a few years’ time; until the children grow up, the parents still, worry, endlessly.  And, relying on the government assistance, comparing that to what’s been put in, it’s, nowhere NEAR, balancing out, naturally, the effects of the assistance programs are, limited.  As the reduced birth rates, compounded with the population aging too fast, returning back to the traditional values of extended families, maybe, you’ll, find the resolves.

And so, why not change a thought, from encouraging the aging parents to be neighbors with their children, or, live close by, so the children can be cared for by one’s own parents, there would NOT be the safety concerns of leaving the young in strangers’ hands.  Although some parents aren’t willing, some worried that there may be displease between the daughters and mothers-in-law, but, you can’t over look those younger generations who are willing, to live in the same neighborhoods as their own, elders.

The government is at wits end on how to increase the birthrates, why not take from the values of families of the traditional agricultural families, and start from the schools, the families, to make it a trend of the society.  And, with the incentives of assistance money, and the public daycare programs, to help the younger generations become, more willing, to have children, that, is the right way to approach this problem.

Yeah uh, this is still, NOT convincing enough, not for me, at least, not just because I already KNOW the results of me, popping my DEAD Emily out, but what this individual saying is still, too idealistic, I mean, we’re, already, on this, PAY-AS-You-Go program of social security, we’re, currently paying into the retirement funds, that WE can’t even, get our hands out, because by the time we reach sixty-five, wow, the money’s RUN out, and, the debts just keep on rolling, rolling, rolling on down, making it HARDER, for future generations to come, and, this claim of the government’s we want you to have MORE babies, to INCREASE manpower for the future just isn’t, sound enough, I mean, even IF the government provides for your young’s (however many you have, how the HECK should I know?) education, their formulas, diapers, etc., etc., etc., etc., and you get an extra couple of thousand dollars for your kiddies’ birthdays, is that enough, for you, to WANT to have children?  I mean, do you KNOW how much heart, how much mind, how much time, AND not to mention, stress, CARES, goes into, bringing up a child?  Yeah, so, take THAT, you STUPID government!

Looking the Other Way, is What Got Us Where We Are Today

Observation of how Trump refused to turn over power, off of the Front Page Sections, translated…

A few years ago, a group of scholars including the Harvard Professor, Cass Sunstein warned, that there might be a fascist U.S. president, the Trump fans called them paranoid freedomists.

At the presidential election last year, the writer, Tony Schwartz who wrote Trump’s, “The Art of the Deal” prophesied, that if Trump lost the election, he will get his supporters and followers to violently turn over the results of the election, the Trump fans laughed and made fun of him for being paranoid freedomist too.

But, these two prophecies made by the “paranoid freedomists” both came true.  In the four year term that Trump’s had, he’d become like a dictator, he’d not drained the swamps of D.C., but the oxygen of the democracy of the U.S.; the Trump fans, in his directing them to, urging them to, took Capitol Hill, and it’d made the United State turned into a banana republic overnight.

Reasonably, the American democracy could NOT allow a FACIST take control of the country that long, nor would it allow for an uprising, a coup d’état of sorts; but, how could Trump do as he pleased for four whole years?  And, how come, the riots, the takeover over of governments of third-world nations is currently, happening, in U.S.?  The New York Times’ columnist, Cruman gave us the answer, “We’d indulged him too long!”

Indulging is the same as quietly consenting, and encouraging, it’s also, the politician’s dope.  In the past, the people put up with Trump’s bad ways: he’d shamed women constantly, the people looked the other way; discriminated against minorities and Muslims, people allowed for it; firing the members of his own cabinets, the people allowed for that too; used the attacks to defame the media press, the people looked the other way; not opening his assets to public records, evading taxes, people of the States had, looked, the other way; privately funding his own campaigns from Russia, people chose to ignore; lied habitually, people didn’t stop him from it; along with, an assortments of other bad behaviors that the American public chose NOT to acknowledge.

Letting Trump slide is equivalent to rationalizing all of his mistakes.  He is a pathological liar, while those who’d allowed him to lie constantly told, that he was telling, an alternative form of the truth; he’d taken the U.S. out of world organizations, those who supported him said it was “to make America great again!”; he’d fired the members of his own cabinet, and obstructed the justice systems, his supporter said he was “bringing the deepest conspiracies of the government out into the open.”

People kept allowing Trump to do what he wanted to, and he’d not gotten punished for it, and, for the followers who saw him as Messiah, they’d, naturally, followed his lead.  The white supremacy groups started, getting bigger locally, QAnon and other extreme right groups kept spreading the conspiracy theories without any solid proof, and, the militia groups that stemmed from these took guns into the state congress of Michigan to protest, even made plans to kidnap the Democratic governor; Krugman described these two incidents in Michigan as a rehearsal for Trump fans’ assault on the Capitol.

Of course, the members of the Republican congress also allowed Trump to become the “Almighty”.  The party system of congress of U.S. worked in the checks and balances, but of late, the Republican became Trump’s private machine for the past four years, at his, disposal; as the impeachment call of Trump was being discussed, all the Republicans voted against his impeachment, and even AS the Trump fans took down Capitol Hill, there were still eight members of the Senate, along with 139 representatives of the House who’d, voted against his impeachment.  As the Vice President, Pence and the majority leader, severed it off with Trump before the votes, but they’d, allowed Trump to do as he pleased for FOUR whole years, they’re, responsible for what is happening now; as for those White House staff members, and members of Trump’s cabinet who’d severed the ties by quitting, they were only, trying, to save themselves before the big ship sank, and, at that last moment, they’d, finally realized that they were on the wrong side, and it’s, already, too late.

Tolerating Trump is what led to this, it’s also what made the fascisms, take over the American democracy, “if you think after Biden took office at the White House, all those rioters would vanish, then, you must be, delusional!”, that, is what Krugman is most worried about, “Then, what can we do?  It’s time, to stop those, fascists, stop, tolerating them now!”, this was the summation of Krugman’s observation over the last four years as Trump acted as the president of the U.S.; and to the rest of the democracies in the world, the falling, the destruction of American democracy showed, “if this can happen in the U.S., it can happen, anywhere else too!”

And, absolute power equals absolute abuse, is what this showed, now that Trump’s been voted out of the office, he didn’t want to leave, and so, he’d, used the power of the masses, to do his bidding for him, and, as the rioters, take over Capitol Hill, the Congress too, U.S. is no longer, a democracy, because for the PAST four years, the people allowed a FACIST DICTATOR (like Mussolini, or Hirohito) to rule them, and now, this FACIST DICTATOR got a sweet taste of what power gave to him, of course he wasn’t, going to, let it go that easily…

Another Beast, Hungry for Power

Commentaries on how too much power given to the political party in power right now, the DDP, from the Front Page Sections, translated…

The Examination Department posted its “Human Rights Committee Advocates” legislation drafts, and the head recruit of DDP, Ke was angered by the draft of the legislature, believed that it’s the minority making a huge mess for the majority of the legislators.  Ke’s reason being: the ten members of the human rights committee are all members of the legislature, there’s no need to add a new amendment for these ten people, that their duties and rights should be written in the general legislations.

And, whether or not Ke has the right to object to this, he had a right reason, to go off.  The human rights committee is NOT some complex, or larger-scale system, it only consisted of just TEN members, who are a part of the examination committee, but they’d, decided, to give themselves a new set of rules to abide by, do they want to make more trouble for the legislature?

Yet, the examination department’s appetite was too huge, and, they’d asked the committee for the right to interpret the legislation as they wish to, and, expected the government facilities, the local branches to explain what they checked for everything that they’re, checking.  The former was criticized by the legislative department as “finding a way around the written law”; the latter, breaching of the five basic rights.  Including how this rule would allow the government sectors to “dip” their hands into the privately owned facilities, this left many doubts.

查看來源圖片
everyone who disagrees, gets the BARRELS! Clip Art found online

Simply stated, all of these committee members, used the claims of “human rights”, believed that they have the power to go and check any and everything, that nobody can object, can stop them from doing so.  The problem being, Taiwan is a country of law, and, we already, have separate laws for everything regarding the rights of the citizens already, do we, really, need another “emperor” unit to oversee the areas of human rights?  If this “emperor” unit believed itself to be the supreme law of the land, then, the human rights of the Taiwanese citizens may be damaged even more, instead of, being protected.

And now, the systems operating independently of party politics are reduced, and lacked the faith from the general public, we do NOT need one more beast of power, wearing the mask of “human rights”.

And so, this, is how the DDP is using ITS power now, to dip into everything, in the name of the citizens’ rights, they’re actually, enslaving the people here, there’s now, only the GREEN (DDP-supportive) T.V. stations on T.V., and the newspaper media would be next, and, all of those papers that don’t agree with the legislations passed by the DDP, will get, taken off the store shelves too I’m sure, and, this is WAY, WAY, WAY worse than COMMUNIST rule!  And the people can’t do ANYTHING about it…

The Department of Education Shall NOT Give Up on Any Child

The government’s not well-thought-out ideals of reforms in education here, off of the Front Page Sections, by a university professor, translated…

When I was in school, elementary years and middle schools are mandatory education, and this sort of making education available should be commended, because even for the kids from the poverty stricken backgrounds, they get the chance to get educated.  But what we can’t deny is, a lot of the children didn’t get educated enough.  Some had entered into the universities, and still can’t write out all twenty-six of the English alphabets.  Some had entered into high school, and still can’t do the addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division of fractions.  And there are those in high school who can’t understand the most basics of English words such as: not, at, in, with, there, who, when, etc., etc., etc.

For students who are on this level, staying in school getting an education, it’s, a waste of time.  For the country, it’s, a waste of money.  The kids don’t have the basic levels of education, and they’d, lost their competitive edge on the most fundamental levels, and it’s more than likely, that they will be on government assistance in the futures.  This is painful for the individuals, but even more a heavy burden for our country.

We need to track back to the systems of education in the elementary school years.  There’s no holding a child back in the elementary years, as the child falls behind in the first grade, and after that, the kid just sits and can’t understand what the instructors saying in the class, but all the way, they still, get higher in the grade years, and there’s nothing that teachers can do about this.

Don’t know when it was, that this country did away with holding the children back a grade, and, this is out of kindness, with the goal of helping the children keep their senses of dignity, and hoped, that children can somehow, be interested in learning.  A motto for the education reforms is “Happy & learning” it’s from the same beliefs.  But, this sort of not watching the gates, it’s actually, harming the students, because as they found, that they can’t understand anything, they can’t possibly have an interest in learning, and would lose faith, self-confidence over their own futures, and start giving up on themselves.  Some of the kids dropped out of middle school, all because they can’t make the grades.  And the government’s way, is giving up on the students.

We need to know, that only a tiny portion of kids hated studying.  I have the experiences myself, that so long as the instructors are compassionate, and patient, then, the child CAN, learn.

Maybe, we won’t go back to holding students back a grade, but we can’t, give up on the students either.  The first thing that needed to get tackled is, to set up a fundamental curriculum for the classes in the elementary school levels.  Meaning, that as the children is in the first grade, they should be mastering the skillset during that grade level, the government should set it up in black and white, same for all other courses too.  With this basics of curricula, all the teachers across the country should be more in tune with whether or not the students are matching up to the requirements of the governments.  Of course, children are smart in different ways, some kids may be slower to learn, and the elementary years definitely need to device separate education plans for the children.  Setting up of individualized education plans is a written rule in the legislation regarding education, but the sad part is, now, it’s no longer, used.

We don’t need to go back to the ways of keeping a child back a grade, but we need to set up the different materials to teach the students with varied learning styles.  The Department of Education should ensure that every normal child can learn the fundamentals well.   I hope that everybody can understand, that I’m NOT asking the government to guarantee that every child makes the good grades, I just believe, that the government should NOT give up on any child.

And so, this, is under the current system of education reform, because this country tries to follow the methods that hard worked for the western countries, without realizing, that hey, this is a country on its own, and what works elsewhere, may NOT work here, and so, the system of education is still, not fully developed, and that’s why the students are, not learning what they needed to succeed in their lives in the futures.

The Parents & the School Instructors Not on the Same Page on Using the Surveys to Stop Bullying

How do you think conducting a SURVEY can end bullying in school, huh???  I…dunno!  Off of the Front Page Sections, translated…

The Department of Education amended the wording of the Anti-Bullying Laws in July for the schools from “student to student” to “Principal, teachers and students to students”, and mandated the schools needed to conduct surveys regularly for the students.  The Head of Department of Education held a press conference on the matter, stated that the definition of bullying isn’t clear cut enough, the students may misinterpret discipline into bullying, and the schools get turned into the prison system, and the teachers are, teaching within the jail cells of wording correctly.  But the parent groups believed, that the law will help improve the situation of the victims’ fearing to speak out, that it can, help prevent bullying in school.

The department pointed out, this legislation will mandate that all middle schools, fifth, sixth grade classes in the elementary do a survey of life on campus every April of each year, and follow up on the cases to give the needed counseling measures.  And the related statistics will be sent to the managing units of education and the Department of Education to review over.

Half of the survey is on the bullying of students by peers, and the other half is on the teachers bullying the students.  The questions included, “the teacher had told other students to pick on me”  “The teacher had taken a mean tone with me, or the teachers mocked me”, “I was publicly humiliated by the instructor in front of everyone”.  And all of these questions are quite vague, it’d affected the ruling of the teachers in the classrooms, and it can, make the instructors live in fear.

The C.E.O. of the Parenting League, Peng advocated this amendment, she’d stated, that there’s an unequal distribution of power between the students and teachers, the questionnaire can be used as a voice for the students, as the children come face to face with trouble, we can, offer our help to them immediately.  And even if the students are exaggerating in their claims, the teams of investigators can differentiate between discipline and bullying, to not hurt the instructors’ right to work.  She’d also suggested to the Department of Education to set up the rules, to file the questionnaires into the computer, and using the data on a grander scale, to prevent bullying in school.

And so, you can see, how this can be, problematic, right?  I mean, these are teenagers, and you know these teens have the tendencies to take everything too serious, like how they would interpret things too personally, even IF it wasn’t directed against them as people, and so, under this system, I imagine, that a TON of teachers would get called into the Department of Education, for reviews of their teaching qualifications, and yet, this, is what the government is currently doing, because they want these children to have a voice, to have more right, to decide how they’re being taught.  They believe this is a step toward democracy, but it’s actually N-O-T!  The teachers’ jobs are hard enough, and now, they risk getting reviewed by the board of whatever, for getting LOUD when the classroom get too loud, uh, yeah, this is when democracy turned into, demoCRAZY!!!

“You Can’t Learn How to be a Police Officer in the Classrooms”

After the theories, you also, need the applications, the HANDS-on experiences, to have the full training!  Off of the Front Page Sections, translated…

The police academy focuses the trainings on safety and enforcing the laws, and yet, the officers getting killed on duty are still, very frequent, a lot of the officers believed, that police officers work in a high pressure background, that “Doing things by the book” couldn’t subdue the suspects, or meet the demands of their quotas; there’s a huge gap between reality and what the trainings taught them in the classrooms.

Last August, the officer from Hsinbei City, Shue chased after a suspicious motorist out on his scooter, and rammed into the suspect, and died on the job.  This April, the police in Yunlin rode out on a patrol car to chase down the suspects who have drug priors, they impacted, and four officers were, injured.

In recent years, there’s the calls for NOT getting into car chases by the police, to tail behind the suspects at a safe distance, to call for backup, and a lot of the entry level officers laughed at these rules for being “from the ivory towers”, and suspected that the superiors demanded the outcomes of drug busts, the weapon busts, and if they don’t stop all the suspects how will they make the quotas.

But, being overt in pursuing the suspects can cause the officers to lose their lives, even injuring bystanders.  In March, the Taoyuan Police stopped a drunk driver, and the driver rammed the car toward the police, the police fired five shots to stop him, and accidentally, killed a female passenger on the backseat.

The senior officers told, that the police work is highly dangerous, the environment can change in a split second, and all the experienced officers all struggled between considerations of how much forces to use, let alone those who are just fresh out of the police academies; street smarts is what they’d rely on in working on the police forces, not the book smarts, it takes more than passing the exams to become a police officer.

In recent years, there had been many cases of police and civilian confrontations, and the deaths are still rising, the police department is now, paying more attention to the safety of the officers on duty, the suspects, the cases, other than adding the softer communication methods course in the academy, they’d also set up ten interactive shooting ranges with the virtual reality scenarios, the officers or the students will choose which to use in the numerous situations, the pepper sprays, the stick, or the guns.

Currently, the courses also required the trainees to rehearse the pulling the cars over for checks, to break up a gathering crowd, traffic accidents, and other more practical situations, so during school, these police trainees would have a sense of how to enforce the laws more safely.

And so, due to the influx of deaths during the job, the police forces here are, rethinking the measures of training, and helping to instill in the officers, that safety should come first, the pursuits of suspects comes second.

When a woman, Kao was serving her armed service terms on the Navy Ships, she had sex with a married male officer, Su, and her other service mates taped it.  Su’s wife sued Kao for obstruction of family, Kao was originally given a four months sentence, in the process of the appeals, the Grand Justice announced the nullification of adultery being a criminal act, the Collectivist Courts tossed the original verdict, and found Kao not guilty of the charges.  Su’s wife sued her in the civil front, and, Kao is mandated to pay the Su’s wife $900,000N.T.s.

After the incident, the Navy took both off their duties on “differentiation of sex”, and “the rules regarding the disciplines of Navy”; both had left the Navy now.

The verdict pointed out, Su and Kao served on the same ship together, Kao knew that Su was already married, from August of 2018 to May of 2019, she’d still had sex with him twenty times in the hotels of the city of Kaohsiung, the bed-and-breakfast in Suao, along with on the battleship, parked at Keelung Harbor too.

As a radar sergeant noted this, on March 29th of last year, he placed a cell phone in the floor of the office, and turned the lens toward the desk, turned on the video recording function, then, used the mask to cover up the cell phone, captured the footages of Su and Kao having sex together.

As the sergeant got his cell phone back, he’d cut the footages into two films, last May, he’d passed the footages out to many of the servicepersons on the ship to see.  As Kao and Su learned, they’d reported the matter to the superiors, the sergeant was found guilty of obstruction of secret, and invasion of privacy, sentenced to eight months.

Su’s wife in May last year received a copy of the footage as well, and sued Kao.  Kao confessed to it, the Keelung District Court used a simplified verdict.  Kao and Su had sexual intercourse twenty times, both sentenced to two months in prison each, and are to serve a total of four years in prison, and on probation for five years.

Kao fought for an appeal, the grand justice this year cited how the laws of adultery had become null and void this year in May, and retracted the verdict of the original suit, and the charges were, dropped.

Yeah uh, this, is what the “new” law did, it helps these ADULTERERS get away with what they did, and that’s just not fair, because by decriminalizing adultery, that means, that as the spouses of these CHEATERS, there’s, NOTHING we can do, to put an end to their, bad behaviors, and the law did NOT protect the “victims”, in these cases, the spouses, here…
