People of Food

short prose, translated…

The steamed almond tea, with the fried cakes, the sauces over the oyster fried cakes, the pork’s blood cake with peanut powders, that, is the right way to do it.  The soups with the sticky stuff, a bit of sugar, some vinegar, that’s a must, this, is the taste of love.

And, you can still know a lot about a culture, by examining the foods that the people are eating, because our lives are circled around food, because if we don’t eat, we will, all starve, to death, won’t we?
