A Bad Role Model

The lesson that a parent learns from her son, what???  It happens, you know that, right???  Translated…

On the weekends, I’d invited the whole family to come on a hiking trip, and we’d gone on the MRT Wen-Hu Line to the place to meet, and, there was something wrong with the systems.

The very next day, the Taipei MRT gave a refund, and so, on Monday morn, I’d ushered everybody to head over to the MRT stations to get it processed.

My child replied, that day, we’d gone to the Jien-Nan stop to meet, that we shouldn’t use the crack in the system and use it as an excuse for getting a refund, that it’s NOT called savings, it’s called taking advantage.  I was so shocked, that I wanted to dig a hole in the ground and hide in it, I taught my child, NOT to take advantage of a situation, and yet, here I was, doing exactly that.

As my child was growing up, I’d taught him to save up every penny, to turn the money he’d found on the streets into the police stations, and I’d made donations, to foundations, and, the foundations would give the money to those in need, to help the society out.  And now, my child pointed out my wrong values toward money, I must tell my kids, “I’m sorry, children, I was wrong, mom loves you very much, it’s a good thing that you are with me!”

And so, this adult here, was making a bad role model, and, her son corrected her, and, she realized, that she was merely preaching the right values to her kids, but NOT actually acting in accordance to the values that she’s preaching to them, but after her son pointed it out to her, she is surely to improve.

    • You don’t need any computer programming experiences, you just have to find a platform such as this one, or, you can search for others, like blogspot or whichever ones that are available out there, and start writing on topics that are important to you, and that, is ALL it takes.
